one fighter exposed in rodriguez. I think Mansour was basically exposed too. had a hard time with a fighter with no power at all.
yeah, but he saved the card. And he saved some face for KD. Optimally, Nino and Monsour woulda shined, and whichever woulda took a shorter stack to fight USS woulda had a mega fight with USS for a rankings jump. Now, it's basically, Monsour vs USS, and it's obvious that Monsour can not make adjostments, and USS will clown him before KOing him. Might get USS a rematch with an interim WBC titlist name Tyson Fury though:think:think
The main difference between this fight and the last half dozen is that I actually trained like an elite fighter for 3 weeks (still not enough) rather than spending most of my days training on my patio like before due to personal issues that wouldn't allow me to train like a consummate professional. David Rodriguez has a serious left hook btw. He likely would have stopped me within three if I had been unprepared like my previous bouts. He's a very strong dude. This is how it really happened. "Heavyweight David Nino Rodriguez, 36-1 (34), El Paso, TX, suffered his first loss when Darnell Ding-A-Ling Wilson, 25-17 (21), Miami, FL, knocked him out at 2:59 of the 6th and final round. Wilson landed a good overhand right in the 1st round only to have Rodriguez back up Wilson with a left hook to the body. In the 2nd round Wilson rocked Rodriguez with a left hook. Together they exchanged left hooks in a good round by both fighters. In the 3rd Wilson hurt Rodriguez on several occasions. In the 4th Wilson opened up rocking Rodriguez with a left hook. Rodriguez went south several times with no warning from referee Page. Both boxers look winded. Its been 2 years since Rodriguez last fought after being seriously cut in the streets. In the 5th Wilson acknowledged a good right to the chin from Rodriguez. An effective jab by Rodriguez was keeping Wilson at bay. In the 6th and final round Wilson rocks Rodriguez with a left hook to the chin. Wilsons overhand right opened up a bad cut on the outside of Rodriguezs left eye that continued to run down the side of his face up until a Wilson left hook dropped him. Referee Page waved it off as Rodriguez lay there at 2:59 of the 6th round." dhb
Fine rd by rd.:good Surely KD and Main Events will let you get a copy of the recording for the educational purpose of sharing with your homey's at ESB. Really good job hanging in there Ding. Ive said it before, that Nino might be the best HW body puncher, and it sounds like you had a taste of some good body work and some sh!t south of the border. I knew yall would end up in a war. It really sucks you werent able to follow up that R hand in the 4th vs Boystov. His eyes rolled and knees buckled. You may have saved him that night if you'd have KOd him. He's really let himself go since then, but thats the breaks when you lose hunger for whichever reason. WTG bro.....keep us updated as to who your gonna push next.:deal
Mansour wasnt exposed. he beat the living shi.t out of Kelvin Price and KO'd him. what else you want?
i thought mansour looked to have good power and stamina but was sloppy. his chin was good he took some good shots too. he definetly landed lotsa bombs. i cant figure out if mansour looked so sloppy becuase the other guy was so tall and awkard but a W is a W.. he should fights Jennings and go from there.. COngrats Ding on the big win, where can i find a video?
I think that was more to do with the height and reach differences regarding Mansour vs Price, was always going to make for a sloppy fight. Price isn't quite as bad as he looks either, go back and watch Price vs Wilder and untill the knock out happened it was a similar sort of cagey fight and Wilder had to land a cheap shot on the back of Price's head to score the knockout. Would like to see Mansour vs either Glazkov or Adamek next as style wise they would be much better match-ups for him to look good against.
