If the gloves were off Lewis would have been knocked out in the 2nd round.
And btw, looking excellent against shane cameron is hardly a criterium for being ranked up there with the best heavyweights in the world.

:good:good EXACTLY!!!! Well said sir!!!!! As i've wrote I don't begrudge any fighter a pay-day but please no-one attempt to fuel a David Tua hype-train, for ****s sake!!!!! At least let us see him fight a credible opponent before we have to consider him a contender again!! He fought against Lewis in a similar fashion to Johnson did against Klitschko! He embarrassed himself, as did "The Kingpin"!!

    what Fight Are you watching?

Vitali didnt beat him... ITS A TKO WIN FOR LENNOX.

Lennox's Face was absolutely fine compared to Vitalis!

resorting to Lieing are we? thats like saying Francois Botha beat Mike Tyson.

Tyson knocked out Botha. Lewis-Vitali was stopped due to cuts. Vitali was dominating before he got cut and was winning on all scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

Tua did very little against Lewis. Sure he lasted the distance but was never a threat to win the fight either.

    Dominating?

    No.

He may have been up on the cards but it was only a one round swing. Lewis had the momentum.

You make it sound like Vitali was winning a one sided shut out.

    stopped due to cuts???
you mean it was a victory for Lewis, Vitalis face was smashed and beat up.

    He was the loser.

He was in no condition to continue.

Sadly, by the time Tua gets into a title shot situation. He'll be to old, maybe he'll be lucky enough to fight when both Klitschko's retire. Because i can't see anybody wanting to fight him unless he's a mandatory ranked contender...

If the gloves were off, Lennox would have been knocked out before the infamous grazing punch even landed.

Tua got beaten up for 12 rounds and barely naded a punch.

In the 6 rounds that Klitschko fought against Lewis,he won more rounds than Tua did in 12!

This post was obviously started just to start some flaming, but you could actually make the argument that Tua has better wins than Vitali does. He's fought way better competition.
They both lost to Lewis and Byrd. Tua has wins over Maskaev, Moorer, Rahman, Ruiz. Back before they were ancient, washed up and for some reason a few of those are still contenders to this day (well two days ago). A fact which highlights the dire straights heavyweights are in.
The counter argument is...how many titles has Tua won?

I personally rate Vitali higher, but Vitai is unfortunately in the crappiest of divisions, where there's only one other good fighter and it's his brother. Vitali does not have the opportunity to pick up any impressive defining moment wins. He had one chance for that, but came up short.
