He ought to. You don't have to look for Ustinov.

Tua is shot.. Even Ustinov was able to handle Barrett, Tua has even struggled with very very average journeyman as well. It's a no brainer here, Ustinov should win a wide decision he might even be able to stop Tuaman as Barrett was able to drop and badly hurt Tua in their 2nd fight(Tuas last fight) At this point Tua just has power, and while that was only thing he ever had going for him he's just too slow and old to catch anyone decent at this point.

What reason is there to believe his power suddenly vanished after putting Cameron to sleep?

    Ahunanya was negative as hell.

Barrett surprised Tua (and the rest of us) with how game he was, and made Tua look old & cautious as he was so flabbergasted by this stark contrast from his expectations of an easily bowled over victim...a dynamic which carried into the rematch.

Tua elected to box against King, for multiple reasons (a new trainer replacing Bloodworth kept insisting he should abandon his old style and keep the bombs to a minimum...plus Tua was probably jaded by the Ahunanya experience the last time he fought a defensive-minded survival-first American journeyman) - pretty much just circling with pot shot jabs all night.

If you go in to outbox Tua and you've got any skill (enough to be ranked top fifty) and even a shred of athleticism, you'll probably be able to see the bell and maybe even get your hand raised.

If you're a stationary target without much guile to your defense - and they don't get any more stationary or hittable than slow plodding chin-blocker Ustinov - it doesn't matter how tough you are, Tua can lay you flat. :good

Ahunanya and King have iron chins regardless. Tua still has obvious power, he almost decapitated Monte Barret with the first real shot he landed in that fight. Broke his jaw pretty badly too if I'm remembering correctly.

4 years have passed since the cameron ko, offcourse if someone stands infront of tua it will not end well for them just think he doesnt carry the same power he use to 5 to 10 years ago and thats my only worry (maybe hence his new trainer after bloodworth trying to make him box and change his style up abit??)... btw i would love nothing more then to see tua (from the cameron fight) reappear and ko ustinov...a determined and fit tua is still a dangerous fighter

Don't worry. David, who's been training since November according to Crunch, wouldn't fit on your screen even if the link worked. What a deadset joke. All involved should hang their heads in shame for wheeling out an old guy who's clearly past his best and doesn't want to train, just so they can line their pockets. Disgusting.

Some of our own heavyweights have recently fought opponents who fit the very criteria you are describing above. Is that different for some reason?

Agree but what can you do mate? Tua's a grown man,has a name that will look good on Ustinov's record despite looking like a beached whale. He might need the money. Dave will get paid to try and get him ready and fit for the fight. It is what it is.

They both will bomb away for a round and half, then gas and lean on each other and hold for the remaining 8 and half rounds. I hope the ring is reinforced and the nearest KFC is stocked up for after the fight.
