Barrett probably had a house that was way too big for him (2008, housing bust) and the Haye purse was probably not good enough to pay his debt.

Barrett seemed overwhelmed emotionally with all that Jesus and God talk. Hopefully these two Tua fights helped pay most of his debt.

What a completely ridiculous post. Educate yourself, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Damn. I hope all the good for Monte Barret.
That is propably wishful thinking when it comes to financial things..:verysad

Nobody cares about these guys who gave their lifes to boxing and leaves the sport war torn after many hard fights.
    that's how it goes.

On The Ropes should contact Monte Barrett for an interview, that would make an interesting listen.

Barrett barely got out of this alive. I hope he doesn't take a rematch. Now he's in a great position to get a solid payday in the US or Europe as a fringe-gatekeeper for an up'n comer like Tyson Fury... or maybe Arreola who's looking for a tune-up.

don't know why so much hate for tua?

one of the most humble boxers and has achieved shitloads in a very long career, beating some of the best in the world. beating 4 people who then won world titles.

tua didn't score the first fight u know, don't blame him for it.

All the best to barrett! hes a very nice guy with a big heart! as big as it gets in boxing! I dont think many would have gotten up from that knockdown which was actually more of a ko!
I would like monte to get a big payday but he also has other options!
I heard he could work with hbo! that would be very nice!
