The date is July 14th, OF THIS YEAR!!! Don't blame Kushner. Even though Tua said on TV he needed to fight every 6-8 weeks after the Hawkins fight, he also said that he needed to go home to his family and not fight until at least the end of June. That'll be almost 5 months! Tua says the right things, but then does something different. Now he'll need to get the ring rust out, again.

My thinking is that he fights this guy, who's rarely fought outside of California, ko's him, and then gets a big fight at the end of the year.

This is on the Williams/Margarito undercard. I have tickets to it.

    Hmmm. On the undercard?

Obviously then it will be widely televised. Now THAT is probably what
they have been waiting for to show some Tua destruction!

    Time for some TV!!

Tua has KTFO McCall to prove he is ready for a sho at the title. That would be a great matchup.

Tua's done. If he was going to do it, he would have done it by now.

When will Tua step it up? The guy has turned down Shane Cameron and Lamon Brewster so he could fight this tomato can....if he doesn't win impressively and if he comes in overweight, I will write off Tua for good as he doesn't seem to be taking this comeback very seriously.

The big question is whether he has kept all the conditioning that got him
    down around 240.

If he has ballooned up to 250 again it really will be a sad joke.

That's exactly the way it looks. How else can you explain the long lapses between fights and the pitiful "opposition??"

This is actually a step back from Hawkins, who is a reasonably solid journeyman. This guy is nothing more than a regional tomato can who will get crushed early.

How sad, frankly. If Tua moved quickly, he could really make some noise. He's just treading water - if that.
