We saw some pretty limited guys outbox Tua. Jeff Wooden, David Izon, those guys were able to take him deep. Its conceiveable Green outboxes Tua with his reach and speed. Its a bad matchup either way and most likely is going the distance. Green seems to be a bit overated on this forum at times, but Tua looked really bad against even the most limited guys who stuck a jab in his face and moved away from his lefthook.

A Peak Tua with a high workrate lands more clean hard punches than Green who often used fast "slapping" flurries, so i'll take Tua by 6-5-1 decision; so close due to Tua's nightmares with any decent jabs. However, the lesser Tua who just searches for one big lefthook loses a decision to Green, who was 6'5 with 82' reach & had good enough boxing skills & handspeed to easily outbox such a one-dimensional slugger with his size advantages playing their part. Mitch had a titanium chin, as shown by his bout with Tyson where he absorbed powerful combinations, so the one big lefthook strategy would never work against him.

All I know is that if Green somehow lasts the distance it still won't mean that he won , but in Tua's case the corrupt judges and I were not always of the same opinion .
Based on aggression and possible KDs , Tua would have at least won the decision for me.

Has anyone ever bad mouthed Tua? Press conferences etc?

The thought of Mitch Green slagging off Tua makes me laugh.

The Tyson that Green fought...was green, it was Tysons first step after Tillis.

I reckon Green could outbox Tua. Although both are overrated

Also i think ive read it somewhere that Tyson wanted to go the full 12 with Mitch to make him pay for his comments?
