i will say that tua would destroy donovan early, faster than tyson, too much heavy hitter for ruddock to overcome, his chin was made of granite and he carried his power late and ruddock was not a slick boxer and he is not stopping tua
I'd favour Tua. Tua could be out boxed and befuddled by the jab but Ruddock wouldn't fight that way he'd stand in front of Tua and try to land his smash. Ruddock wasn't active enough to win a decision so his best bet is to stop Tua but nobody stopped Tua in his prime or even hurt him, so I don't even think Ruddock has a punchers chance. Ruddock would have his moments like he did in the losses to Tyson, but he gets out worked and likely ground down and stopped late.
Inclined to agree, assuming that Ruddock fought the way he fought Tyson. If Ruddock fought the way he fought Mike Weaver when he was younger though, jabbing and moving more, I could see him deterring Tua from attacking and shutting down his offense enough to take a decision (the way Maskaev almost did in 97).
