now obviously this may be down to poor represntation but i mean look at half the bums that get title shots and david tua hasn't challenged for a world title in ages any comments?
the guy dosent fight enough nor is he good enough enough with all the tua bull hes gone and he should stay away or make a eal effort to come back
The guy has been garbage recently, fights nobody and never fights. And that is when he is at his best.
I was gonna add the friday fight was poor and he hasnt been looking too sharp but still fair to say he would be a bigger challenge to klit's then eddie chambers
Well power is definitely a great attribute to have, but athletic speed probably gives you the best advantage in any physically aggressive sport.
He needs to fight someone like Ray Austin or the Chagaev-Meehan winner to really establish himself. On a side note, its hilarious that the guy with a John Ruiz picture is deriding Tua's punching power.
He hasn't done crap to be in contention, this wasn't like he was fighting Chargaev or something(side note: How the hell does someone fight Chargaev now because of the hep? Do they have to fight in Germany? What happens if the WBA forces a mandatory between Haye and Chargaev, since Britain won't approve him?)
I remember when people got excited about Sam Peter because he scored a knockout and had a little power. It ****s with people like alcohol.
I don't need one. Tua was not able to keep in fighting shape in his 20's. Yet now, via the power of magic, he is going to keep in shape at 30 something? Those lefthooks are going to some heads.
Bad comparison. Tua may have never won a title, but the man brutalized some top contenders and ex champions while he stalked the heavyweight division in his prime. He also became the #1 contender for Lennox Lewis's heavyweight title and remained there for a couple of years until Lewis finally had the balls to face him. Johnny Ruiz, David Izon, Oquendo, Michael Moorer, Maskaev, Rahman are just some of the name fighters who fell victim to Tua's power. As well as having competitive fghts with the likes of Ibeabuchi and Chris Byrd. Peter's resume does not compare to that in any way.
