I didn't even know David Tua still was fighting?
tried to check BoxRec on him and got Database error...[serious, no Joke]

    When was his last fight?
And when was the last time he was on T.V.?

I like Tuaman, anyone know when he is scheduled to fight again?
is it against Chris "Area around the Nipple"

His last fight was in September, against...well I can't be certain, was it Cerrone Fox? Think he decked him in 2.

Yes, it was in September against Fox. CK is looking to put him in against Arreola in October, but nothing is signed.

The Tua under Duva had head movement. He didn't need a jab because he kept throwing punches n bunches. Under Duva, he fought like Frazier. Since he's left Duva, he became one dimensional, with the plodding, left hook. And he gained 25 pounds and came to camp around 280. Under Duva, he was always in shape.

Nowadays, he's developing more head movement, a left jab, and better footwork under Roger Bloodworth, his trainer when he was under Duva. His current problems are his lack of motivation (he hasn't fought in a year), his tendency to gain weight when he's not training, his ongoing court battle against his former manager/trainer Kevin Barry (it's in it's 6th year!), and his age at 35.

But all I'm saying is that if he had stayed with Duva, these issues would likely have never come up.

Tua would have always been a perennial contender given the era he was born in.

Lennox would have boxed his ears off and stopped him if he showed any real aggression.

Tyson's better speed and arsenal would have also beaten Tua in the late from 90s. 2000-onwards it starts to lean towards David.

Holyfield would have had another highlight reel if Tua fought him anytime from 1997-2001. After that its pretty even. Although Tua was slowing down himself

If not being able to beat those 3 at the height of their powers makes you a perennial contender, then there's a hell of a lot of them floating around.

The shame for me (as a Kiwi) is that Tua beat so many guys that went on (or had recently had) to win titles, and never got one himself.

Far worse fighters than Tua have held belts in recent times.

If Tua fights for top money, his money is frozen until the court case is decided. If the judge sides with Barry and Peewww, they get half of the purse. So what does he do: fight top guys with the possibility that his managers continue to take from him, or lay low until the court case gets decided? Tuff decision, as he's 35 years old.

Tua beats the Tyson and Holy of late '90s. I rate Tua vs LL an even fight if he's throwing punches n bunches, 225-30, and under Duva. Remember, LL has been knocked out twice by less power hitters than Tua.

    Read the post above you.

Tua was too trusting, sure. But he had complete faith in Barry, and Barry and Pugh worked him over big time.
