David Tua Versus Jersey Joe Walcott

I'll go with Walcott by a decision, but that's about his only chance.

It depends which version of Tua shows up.

If it was the lethargic version of the Byrd fight I could honestly see Walcott getting a TKO.

 

I actually think the version Byrd beat was one of the better Tua's we've seen. His weight was the lowest it had been in years (lower than vs Lewis, for instance), and all reports were that he trained really hard. Byrd just outclassed him in the skill and speed department. Very impressive. I'd assume Walcott does the same, but Tua always has that puncher's chance of course.

 

When I first saw this I thought, maybe Janitor is going to finally surprise me..

But after seeing this, I was quickly brought back to the reality of " now that's the Janitor I know. "

 

walcott has been ko'd several times

 

walcott at his best was EXTREMELY hard to hit and one of the divisions all time best counterpunchers. I don't think he'd hurt tua too badly, probably catch him with some sneaky rights but he'd outbox him clearly

 

Walcott would out box Tua and would get a nice UD. Although as others have stated Tua does have the punchers chance.

 

Walcott would outbox Tua, but Tua could finnish it at any time, Walcott wide UD or Tua by brutal KO

 

Walcott hit hard, and was good at setting opponent up for a big shot too. The Ike Ibauchi (Sp?) fight made him look like he could take shot, but Ike was not a hard a hitter as some people think, he had all those muscles but ot the punch to match (Usually the case with fighters) I think Walcott ko's him.

Either Walcott walks it or gets caught late and kayod. I think this would actually be a really fun fight to watch. Walcott has the skills but he can't afford to take much abuse from such a heavy (and heavier) puncher.
