sugar ray robinson would outbox george chuvalo right janitor? does not matter the size or weight he only would need speed lmao
Just because these smaller fighters are not allowed to fight these bigger fighters any more, doesnt mean that it is theoretically impossible for them to win. They used to win sometimes when they were allowed to fight them, and they still occasionally beat them up in sparring. If we did away with weight classes tomorrow, then most of the results would be depressingly predictable, but you would also get one or two surprizes.
please stop talking nonsenses... you can face heavyweights when you want even if you weight 165 pounds. the rivals of jefries were all super mws and lhws or big cans. the smaller guys don´t face hws because they will lose, easy like that. the diference of class would have to be too big for we can see the small guy winning it. we watched it with robinson and maxim, robinson had to fight too much mobile and he did spend too much stamina
You might be right, McCline did actually drop Byrd and arguably win in the eyes of some where as Tua got clowned. If McCline is bum what does that make Tua on your scale?
Tommy Hearns used to batter Tony Tucker in sparring. Take their trainers word for it! I could come up with other examples. Just try to keep an open mind!
Obviously it isnt. Just because Lennox Lewis got knocked out cold my Lamon Brewster in sparring, doesnt mean that Lamon Brewster would have beaten him. It does however mean that Brewster could potentially have been a competitive opponent. Heavyweights have always sparred with fighters from lower weight classes! Occasionally one dumps them on their ****, or completely outboxes them, or takes their Sunday punch without flinching.
In fairness it was mainly the heat that got to SRR in that fight, and that was after referee Ruby Goldstein collapsed at the end of the 12th and had to be replaced due to the same heat. I think you will find SRR was winning the fight at the time of stoppage.
robinson was tired like hell because he had to run too much against a much bigger stronger guy, end of the history
Byrd was 38 years old and suffered a dislocated shoulder,oh and it was a technical ko, he wasn't knocked out. "Byrd suffered a dislocated right shoulder and had to be taken to the hospital when he had a bad reaction to painkillers that were administered in the dressing room to try to put the shoulder back in place" "Byrd had lost 36 pounds over seven months after deciding to drop down in weight and bypass cruiserweight. It was a dramatic, and as it turned out, drastic weight loss that sapped him of his strength, speed and power" You seem to have forgotten to mention all this? atsch Forked Tongue Respect and credibility take time to earn but can be lost easily. Yours just got up and walked.:-( :bolt
