I read a piece where the obviously-not-disinterested Steward claimed that Hearns "gave him fits" but I've never seen anything suggesting that Hearns actually "battered" him.
Robinson was giving Maxim15.5lbs and the scores were 9-3-1,7-3-3, 10-2-1.The AP had it 9-3-1,the Up 10-2-1.In other words Robinson was skating it, and he wasn't running, he was moving around the almost stationary Maxim, out boxing and out hitting him.He collapsed because of heat prostration and his blood actually reached temperatures that put hislife in danger ,he was confined to bed with a severe skin reaction that brought him out in blisters. "People don't know how near dying Dad was ,his body was covered with blisters. He could not retain anything in his stomach for 2 days:and he was delirious and was not well for 6 months after the fight ."Ray RobinsonJnr.
tired like hell spending too much stamina running in order not getting catched. period, i don´t care a **** if he won 125 rounds before he lost, the fact is that he LOST, PERIOD
You keep saying running why don't you watch the fight? Catched -caught . Yeah Maxim was a dynamite puncher, Ray was very frightened of his power.
probably i watched it more tims than you, YES RUNNING, does not matter if the bigger guy is not a big puncher for his own category of weight, still the smaller guy must be careful against a bigger stronger guy, the size is a factor too, because the smaller guy have to spend a lot of stamina in order to keep it up, in and out to outbox him
