Haye has every advantage over Tua except for punching power, which means Haye would have to fight stupid to get caught with some crazy ****. There is not much chance of that happening, Haye likely schools Tua for 12 rounds and takes a UD. Tua has been so inactive and out of shape for years and now that he is getting up in age it will be difficult for him to even get back to %75 of what he once was. In his prime I would pick him to KO Haye, but now I think his only chance is to land a lucky shot if Haye gets lazy.
If Haye plays his cards right, he should win. It would be a dangerous fight though, I doubt Haye would take it, as it wouldn't get much hype while there is always a chance of a Tua KO.
Yeah I hear ya, but I think Haye's fear of getting caught by a Tua hook will when over his tendenacy to lose focus.
One of Haye's problems is that its very easy to draw him into a brawl. That's what Barrett did. Tua would bully him, take his shots and just wait to crank that one big left hook. I'm not saying Haye couldn't win but I think Tua would win.
You mean like Valuev did? Haye isn't easy to draw into a brawl at all. When he needs to stay disciplined, he can be. Look at the Valuev fight. Yes it may of been boring, yes he should of thrown more punches maybe but it proved a point. He didn't get 'drawn' into a brawl against Barrett. He went about on the offensive because he wanted to put himself on the map with a destructive performance against a man he knew he could easily beat. He was aggressive from the off.
Haye does get drawn into brawls, but against someone with the power Tua has I think that is unlikely to happen. Tua's stamina is nowhere near what it was, he will turn into a plodder after a 3-4 rounds and will then be target practice for Haye. I agree with your previous post though, I don't think Haye takes this fight.
I'm suprised on how many people voted for a Tua ko, rather than a Haye UD. I would lean more towards Haye winning, on the fact Tua hasn't stepped up competition in quite a while. Also Haye is fighting at his optimum weight now, he'll have more natural strenghth now than he had at cruiser weight. I'm not a Haye fan either....
What about chin? Iron vs. China here. Tua has power, chin and reasonably fast hands (of course in particular his left hook), that's really all you need to beat Haye. If Tua was near prime this would of course be an epic mismatch but today Haye might walk away with a UD if he pulls the same **** as against Valuev and turns the fight into a track meeting.
Good point, forgot about the chin in my post, there is obviously no comparison here, just don't think Tua can get to Haye's chin at this point in his career. If he did of course, it's lights out for Haye.
You are an ignorant moron who I will no longer be wasting any time on. You simply don't know what you're talking about. Not worth my time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bendirs/2008/11/haye_has_mouth_and_plenty_of_t.html Bye-bye, clown.
How can he get drawn into a brawl if his plan was to be aggressive and throw leather all along? From what I remember of the fight, it was evident Haye was going to be going for the knockout all along. Your point is entirely irrelevant because he never once got drawn into a brawl with Valuev. Explain that cum-guzzler.
I've watched Haye's entire career, amatuer and pro, and I'll tell you this as a FACT: Haye does well against tall, upright, eastern-european fighters who he can counter off the jab with his right hand. See Alexander Gurov or any of his amatuer fights. Haye does badly against, short, squat fighters who tuck their chin in and walk him down. With good head movement and chin you can put him under pressure. See Fragomeni and Mormeck. Although Haye won both fights, they were difficult for him and he couldn't just blast them out, instead having to rely on his boxing skill to win the fights. Tua would be outboxed by Haye, but if he could walk him down and land those left-hands he stands a good chance of knocking him out. Very dangerous fight for Haye.
