Obviously there is a slim chance for Haye staying on the outside and out-boxing Tua to a UD if he is very cautious. Although I favour Tua destroying Haye against the ropes within 3 rounds. Those who voted Haye to KO Tua must be having a laugh, Tua has an iron chin and has never been down in 54 fights, including his title shot against Lennox Lewis.
I see that once again peoples emotions are getting the better of them. Tua needs to fight someone. Anyone with a pulse who will test him please so we can get a good look at him. The old Tua would give Haye nightmares. As someone mentioned, Haye doesn't like short pressure fighters but this Tua is old. Haye UD. If Lennox can't ko Tua neither will Haye
No one would like to see Tua get a title attached to his record before retirement more than I, but no matter what he's looked like against....a certain level of competition, recently, that is not the same as Haye. Haye obviously can be taken down and Tua when landing can obviously take anybody down, but will he be able to walk Haye down to land? Fresher legs will prevail, most likely, I feel. But with Tua...one shot could put a title in his hands at any time during ten or twelve and the most likely thing with him is that he is up ten or twelve trying to get every chance to do it. Five fights in 2010? I don't even think he'd fight five times against tomato cans in twelve months.
No offence mate but those two statements don't make sense....this is obviously not the Tua that Lewis fought, this is an old man now. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Haye fought smart for 4-5 rounds until Tua gassed and then blew him out of there. I voted for Haye by KO and I'll happily admit it. Who'd have thought Danny Williams could put Tyson down for the count? Does that make Williams better...no...it was just another victory for Father Time, who is the one opponent nobody beats. 10 years ago I'd bet on Tua beating Haye, WALDO and VITLAY by KO, but not any more. He's still dangerous for a few rounds admittedly but the most likely scenario is Tua running out of stamina and getting stopped.
People writing Tua off in this need to realize he isn't a lumbering giant. He is a bad-ass, dangerous heavyweight who can find you and hit you before you can say "back foot". Yes, some very good boxers outboxed (and even humiliated) Tua in years past, but even though no longer technically in his physical prime this a man still in terrific shape for his age, not lacking speed and agility for his build, not completely without defense as some would intimate, and hungrier than he's been in years (perhaps better enumerable in decades...)
