Instead of Bowe, Holyfield fights prime Tua in 1992 (let's pretend Tua was prime in 92). Does Holyfield lose his 0?

Holyfield by decision in a highly entertaining slugfest.

If I would bet I'd put my money on Tua.

Hit's harder, Iron Chin, great workrate. Bert Cooper had Holy reeling, if he gets in those waters with Tua. he drowns.

Holyfield by decision in a bore. He can’t hurt Tua in a million years, & Tua’s too ineffective to really threaten a guy of Holyfield’s calibre.

I suppose though if Cooper can make it the fight he did, anything could happen.

I think it would be a high pace fight with lots of punches thrown

Great footage. I voted Holyfield points but Tua did so much better in that sparring session than I thought he'd do. His left hook was really whipping in there and his uppercut hardly missed. Tua has a healthy shot here too, more than healthy based on the sparring.

Holyfield easily in a potentially boring fight, simply a better fighter with better skills...

I’m not a big “Tua” enthusiast, he’s become much, much more then he ever was Ruiz will get that treatment later - people love to fill in the gaps and make up for a lack of discipline. “Oh but he got fat - what if?” What else is there that suggests he was ever any good at all? He might’ve been one of the best instead we ask what if and extract as much as possible from barren soil. I respect David Tua but he isn’t on the shelf with the men he gets paired to fight here in fantasy land.

If Holyfield elects to box, he wins convincingly, outjabs him, sets up lead left hook, and uses his footwork to evade counters.
If he can’t say no to a bit of a slugfest, I still have him winning, since he has the better defence on the inside and has more tricks in general, wrapping fighters up, pushing them off and getting punches off, tapping them to get them to commit to create the opening etc, he still probably wins relatively clearly, but a bit more competitive.
