Young was complaining to the ref because Foreman was frequently using his elbows & forearms to score illegal blows, & he was doing his nasty shoving tactic too. Watch round 7 of Young-Foreman, & realise what an extremely difficult time Tua would have attempting to get rid of the super awkward Young, even if he caught him with a massive bomb.
Not sure about your opinion stated here about Foreman vs. Byrd , but Foreman would have killed Young had it wasn't for the severe heat . We do know that 2 out of the 2 losses of Foreman during his prime were in hot days while the stoppage loss was also when he was cheated .
Jimmy eats punchers for breakfast!...is what Foreman told Saddler but Saddler was like "Don't worry, you can take him with no water in your system, son, it'll make you faster!" then Jimmy ate him for breakfast. By "ate" I mean he got an okay decision over him...He got an okay points victory over a nearly dead man...for breakfast. How he's not a HOFer is beyond me.
Tua would have been just another routine decision loser to the Master of Negativity..the defensive/counterpunching genius of the great Jimmy Young. What rare shots Tua would land would be handled quite well by Jimmy...who I should remind you Frankenfrank...took a punch FAR better than Chris Byrd. You make the common mistake of underestimating and not understanding Jimmy Young's genius against those he fought. It didn't matter who he fought, they were made to look ordinary and sloppy regardless.
In all seriousness **** OFF, Young was robbed silly in his prime and has a good case for Ali, Shavers and Norton wins to add to his Foreman and Lyle wins, after the Norton fight he went down hill Young should outbox Tua to a decision or until Tua catches up with him, Tua catching up to him is a possibility as is a Tua KO1.
Thank you. But i highly doubt Tua to stop Young. it just doesn't seem probable to me. Young in his prime was too solid defensively and too slippery.. Yeah. Okay. shut the **** up and show some respect. Young had excellent durability and was very slippery. He was never stopped in his prime, and had very good recovery skills. He was only stopped against Shavers and Cooney. When he was green, and when he was past his prime with a freaky cut.
If this is the best Young he wins going away. Too slick. The Young who instead of training spent his days on the wild side of the tracks may be a different story.
