Utter bollocks. When have you ever seen either of those guys through combos like Louis did?

What a ******ed thing to do (but common here) to compare the men whom hurt Louis to David Tua based on punching power or punch resistance .

I did not claim they threw combos like Louis did , but they could hurt their opponents about as hard. Rahman had a bigger punch and a better chin , which equalize his disadvantage in combinations , Even Maskaev would not have been downed as much as Louis was against Louis' opposition , the opposite can not be seriously claimed , except the likes of SuzieQ , femalen , Sweat Pee and janitor.

Louis was no Lewis and Tua was no Baer.
And Tua is more similar to Louis himself in a style than to a brawler with limited skills , but the question here is not about the skills

At the end of the day though there are guys who hit like Tua in every era and Louis was probably in the ring with a couple of them.

Louis was never taken out with a single punch or combination despite fighting twice as many elite fighters as any heavyweight champion outside of Ali. It is also true to say that he never lost a fight that he could have won with a better chin. Its not like he didnt give the punchers of his era a chance to expose his chin or capitalize on it.

Given the level of quality opposition Louis fought and their failure to capitalize on his chin it has to be assumed that one punch power on its own is not going to get you a win over him.

Predicting that Tua would stop him is at beat highly speculative and at worst fanciful.

I think that Baer-Tua would be a really good fight. A REALLY good fight.

Of course janitor always writes the opposite from the truth
He is patient and waits for the best opportunity to land his bombs , he did have skills , its simply his lack of range that limited his ability , his defense is underrated .
Tua is somewhere between Louis , Foreman , Tyson , Marciano and Frazier.
Nothing like Chuvalo or Max Baer and light years ahead of Tony Galento in his abilities .

Just a usual Tua fight , Tua behind on points until he finds his opponent and blasts him to concussion .

    What a load of crap.
janitor means Tony Galento hit as hard as Tua.

Elite for the 175lbs or maybe even 190lbs divisions , not ("even") for today's 201lbs+ division.

Jack Sharkey , Billy Conn , John Henry Lewis could in no way compete against today's big men , they would have either ducked the Klitschkos themselves , or got obliterated by them in spectacular career finishers .

Walcott #1 , Schmelling and Marciano come to mind , especially the first 2.

Your way of admitting he had a leaky defense ?

Because Tua could both land and take much harder punches than these lightheavyweights or light cruiserweights , I know the likes of you will never comprehend this.

Lewis proved he could take punishment as he proved against Mercer , Holyfield (twice) , but most of all against Shannon Briggs.

This is what he did the best , but not exclusively if you watch carefully enough.

Didn't claim he was a Louis replica or wannabe .

But still way better than Louis' defense.

Then you should try and learn from her , if you want to be a fighter , that is.

This is because you are janitor :yep

th or i know tua has an ATG chin, b ut he can be stopped and is easy to hit, so i justr dont ny other outcome than louis breaking him down with swharp and explosive combinations to the head and body by the 9th or 10th round probably being knocked down along the way though.
