I remember David Tua knockout John Ruiz in less than 20 seconds of the first round awhile back in 1996. It was an awesome display of power by David Tua. Do you think if they had to fight again today, would the result be any different?
Seeing as the version of David that blew out Cameron is the most vicious seen since Tua-Ruiz I, and as how Ruiz has adopted more of a "stand-and-trade" style with less emphasis on holding in an attempt to be fan-friendlier...yeah, this wouldn't last long at all.
this fight couldnt possibly be any shorter than the last time they met......i think it would go 4-5 rounds maybe:rasta
John Ruiz UD Cameron is a nobody, neither is Tua at this point in time. In Ruiz's last 15 fights, which dates back to the year 2000, only 4 of those fights weren't for a world class title. While Tua has been doing jack ****. Im not convinced at the "new" Tua. Johnny is much, much more experienced now, he would literally take David to school.
No way in hell does Ruiz live for 12 rounds against Tua, and then get a UD... he will be knocked down plenty. Of those Title's Ruiz fought. for how many times did he win?? how many times was he beaten and how many fights were close??? more to the point......how boring were they????:rofl:rofl:rofl
In his last 6 fights, which dates back to 2005, he has lost half of them. And the other 3 wins were against nobodies. He's lost 4 out of 7 if you include the Toney fight. Anybody have a reason why he's still getting WBA shots that isn't due to corruption?
yeah, he is tough i will give him that much......but I dont think there is anything in Ruiz style that lends itself to beating a genuine KO artist. Some say that Tua is a joke at this point of time....well those with the finger on the pulse know a little differently.:deal
I can see Tua swarming him and looking to unleash hell on Ruiz, just like the last time, and the memory of that 1st ever KO will be fresh as a daisy .....
Yea, on paper. 2 of those "losses" were arguable. I hate John Ruiz as much as the next guy, but he is way more experienced and smarter than the one who lost to Tua. Id bet money that John wouldn't get blown out by Tua again.
