Pay-per-view is ruining Boxing. Unlike UFC PPV's where there's 5 - 6 big names, champs, per event, Boxing PPV's are usually only 2 - 3 big names and some aren't even championship bouts. PPV is ****ing it all up for Boxing fans. They should just charge us like $200 bucks a year and let us see all of them. ****ers.

I'm leaning toward buying the fight, the problem is that I moved from Long Island NY to Clayton NC and all of my "boxing friends" are back on the Island. If I watch a PPV I have to shell out the total price by my self. $24.95 isn't too bad but these PPV's are ****in' killin' me. :patsch

Now if Tua & Mesi were fighting each other................

Get used to it. In the next few years, unless you watch Latino boxing , this will be the only way we can watch boxing. As long as there are no sponsors willing to pay networks for this dying sport the only way fans are going to be able to watch is by paying for it. Kind of like a toll road.

But UFC never has free events like HBO-Boxing After Dark for instance. Which has shown many great fights for free. Whereas UFC shows everything regardless of quality of opposition on PPV.

Tua's one of my favorite fighters, too - I know he's had management problems that account for part of why he was out of the ring, but to my knowlege that was all resolved. There is no reason that I'm aware of why he should not be fighting more frequently.

The sad part about it is that had he returned as soon as his management diffiiculties were resolved, and fought REGULARLY, he probably could have been in contention by now. As things stand, he's simply spinning his wheels, going nowhere.

I am used to it. I'm used to only seeing maybe 3 - 4 good fights per year cause of stupid Pay-Per-View. :-( I have to work on Saturday nights sometimes a lot and I just can't see paying $50 bucks a pop for an event I recorded and am not watching it live.

I know BAD and ESPN show fights still but the quality of telecasts has seriously declined in the last few years.

Really once King and Aram are gone Oscar should try to change the business and give the Boxing fans option of paying one flat fee per year for at least the bouts he promotes. Maybe give a guy a discount too as an incentive.

I buy the cheap PPVs sometimes because if three or four of your buddies come over it works out to 5 bucks a person...and how are you going to beat that?

Yes, the Kombai tribe will order the fight.

...then I'd be scared for the poor man's health!

Tua shouldn't be let in there with someone with that history.

Good point, but I still think that Mesi or Tua should KO Greenberg, that's worth a PPV to me!

I'd buy it if there was an undercard...If it were the same price as a movie rental. $3.49 (NO HIGHER). I feel that's all it's worth cause you will never get 5 friends over to split the cost. If could't be sold to networks atleast we have a chance to watch if we want at a reasonable price.
