And no, I'm not matching up Tua with prime Ali, it's the version that re-gained the title from Neon Leon.

Much as it pains me to say it, Tua could beat that version of Ali.

After the brutal Shavers fight, where shot Ali absorbed insanely heavy bombs over 15 rounds, he was a horrifically-shot, bullet-holed zombie. I would expect Peak Tua to win this, if he keeps up a solid workrate & punishes Ali's old body. However, this is still a troublesome style match-up for Tua, so if Ali can pop enough jabs & flurries (which looked pathetic by this horrid point in his career), & the ref allows him to very frequently hold Tua's neck, then he could spoil his way to a stinky decision in a snoozefest.

At this point in Ali's career, Tua would have knocked him into retirement.

    Is the Tua prime then?

It's only fair to use the Barrett version of Tua if we're using the Spinks version of Ali.

If we're using the Barrett version of Tua...Ali actually stops him. :scaredas:

This is a tricky one . Can Tua keep the pressure on? Can Ali move and use the jab enough to keep Tua at bay. I guess saying as Ali is shot to **** here i will go with Tua.

Ali was pretty much finished at the point of the Spinks fights. I feel that he'd still have enough left though, and the savvy,to take a sneaky decision from the strong, but rather one dimensional Tua.
