Tua had a much, much, much better hook. It was shorter, sharper, faster, had far better leverage/snap, and was likely far more powerful than Galento's. I'd bet he had a better chin too (he demonstrated his against Ibeabuchi), but that wouldn't be much of a factor, as I don't think Galento would get to land many of his patented flying squirrel lunges in this one. Tua didn't leave himself as wide open when he punched, and was also all around more skilled and fluid. He also had better stamina. A much better fighter than Galento.

I was not suggesting that Tua was not above dirty tactics, but Galento did not just stretch or bend the rules he tore them up completely, to the point of even falling onto a decked opponent knees first, his reported quote sums up Galentos viewpoint

"I don't see anything wrong in sticking your thumb into a guys eye, just a little."

Any people siding with Galento here are being swayed by ancestry, heritage, bloodline.....call it whatever you want but is most definately not level headed and unbiased.

    Tua would knock him senseless.

Or just a hard on for that era... Where is this horde of "racist" Galento fans that you speak of? I've NEVER seen them.... But yeah, Tua destroys him.

Tua's one of the hardest punchers in history.

Galento's a no talent bum with a passion for hotdogs and beer.

    Real hard one to answer.

Watch their fights and tell me Tua wasn't quicker than Galento . Galento's feet are in ****ing treacle! Who says Galento could take Tua's punch? He was stopped 6 times! Tua had a very decent right hand watch the Moorer fight! Toughness although he quit? How does that work out?lol Galento was stopped by light heavyweight Al Gainer how do you think Gainer does against Tua?

Oh I agree, Galento has the edge in dirty tactics.

I was just pointing out that Tua was a dirty fighter himself.

Tua is no 48 on the Ring list, Galento doesn't make the top 100.

In terms of foot speed neither of them were even average. Like i said, it is irrelevant here because neither are going to try and outbox the other. The fight would be fought in a phone booth. Chris Byrd was stopped 4 out of 5 times and he beat Tua pretty easily. When was Galento stopped because of being knocked out? Once and that was against Joe Louis. Tua doesn't have **** on Louis.

To say Galento couldn't take Tua's power because he was stopped 6 times is a misrepresentation of the facts.

I've watched most of Tua's fights from debut to retirement. He didn't show much of a right hand. Had a left hook from hell though! Quitting under the circumstances he did is justified by the rest of the punishment he was able to take on.

Galento couldn't floor Gainer, how do you think he would do against Joe Louis? Oh wait...

Louis wasn't hard to floor ,not like Tua who was almost impossible to drop.
Didn't have much of a right?

Tua is a lot quicker than Galento has two fisted power ,is more mobile .Galento is inferior in every department!

Thats strawman. I wasnt comparing Louis and tuas chins.

One knockout with a right hand doesnt mean much. Especially when he set it up with a volley of lefts.

Tua did not have two fisted power. That is blatantly false.

Mobility and Tua (or Galento for that matter) Don belong in the same sentence. Neither were quick enough to make a problem for the other in that respect.
