Wilder wouldnt fight Tua, well maybe now he would. He should tell the WBC and they can rake him up the rankings. Hes not dead is he? If he was it would affect his percentage split.
Prime Tua would show Wilder what hitting hard is all about. And he wouldn’t have to throw shots from the other side of the ring while falling over himself to do it either. David gets him out of there before the 8th. Shots that Wilder blocks would actually hurt him in this one. Wilder would wake up not knowing what Yulaverse he’s in.
Forum Tua by early and spectacular KO. The real Tua would probably gets stopped late or drops a decision.
Get ready for the yapping about Wilder being too big and rangy. Even though he was outboxed in stretches by a glass jawed hooligan(small HW) and was rocked by a Molina left hook(you know Tua's signature punch) Wilder makes way too many mistakes to keep Tua off of him for 12 rounds and he sure as hell isn't knocking him out.
Wilder despite being out boxed by Ortiz and Washington could out box Tua, Wilder is far rangier and could easily rack up rounds and win a decision. But Wilder loves the KO, the one time he went to distance and boxed against Stiverne he injured himself, a fully fit 2 fisted Wilder likely tries and stops Tua, which is a mistake. Lewis realised early his best shots were bouncing off Tua and decided to box, Wilder won't do that he'll keep looking to land a bomb and he'll probably land it. Problem is it won't hurt Tua and Tua will catch him at some point, probably late when Wilder switches off or tires.
Tua by brutal KO. The left hook that he knows about but never sees. He is out even before he starts to fall, and does that ghost punching motion with his arms while on the canvas.
Tua's tough, but not invincible. Lewis could have KOed him, if he really pressed the action. Wilder's got the power to take him out, the only risk comes from what's coming back at him. I think Tua's reach is a major disadvantage. I expect at least a lopsided decision for the bronze bomber.
Lewis could of pressed more but it would of come at a big risk, Tua only needs to land cleanly once. Lewis knew getting drawn into a fight where he risked taking some heavy shots back like vs Mercer and to a lesser extent Mavrovic, 2 other iron chinned warriors Lewis fought was a potential recipe for disaster. I don't think even Wilder has the one shot power to KO Tua, he'd need to apply constant pressure and break him down and Wilder doesn't fight like that now. He did early on in his reign vs Duhaupas and Molina but we saw what happened there. Duhaupas closed his eye, Molina wobbled him badly, fighting like that vs Tua would guarantee he gets KO'ed even Wilder knows that, hence why he changed his style and now does less and sits back looking to counter with single big shots and then jump on guys, he's more selective with his power now, though it does mean he loses rounds but it makes it harder for him to get caught. I'm sure Wilder can out box Tua for long periods with his now more measured style but eventually he'll go looking for the KO as is his nature and at some point he'll get caught. But if Wilder can show some restraint and not rely on his power so much I could see Wilder winning a decision, but he hasn't shown me that yet and until he does I'll favour Tua.
