Peak Tua (meaning the one that fought Ruiz and Ike) knocks out Wlad. Peter doesn't have the power Tua has, and his technique is also lacking but he was able to drop Wlad 3 times. Tuas left hook is in my opinion one of the 3 most powerful punches ever. What makes him even more dangerous was he didn't lose power as the fight went on. Evidence of this is his late knockouts over Maskeav and Oquendo. Wlad's chin and stamina would cost him sometime during the fight. Wlad would probably be winning on the scorecards because Tua struggled against jabbers and movers, but his chin would be his downfall. Tua by KO, anytime during the fight.
Tua isn't going to be stopped by Wlad. He is one of the most durable fighters EVER and even if Wlad was winning he wouldn't go in for the kill because of fear of Tua's left hook. Look at how much respect Wlad gave Ibragimovs power, who doesn't hit half as hard as Tuaman.
Tua has a good chance to win by knockout, but we have to be realistic here: how willingly is Tua going to be engaging Wlad, knowing what he did after tasting Lewis' power? Also let's not forget that Tua is at a gigantic reach disadvantage: 5'10 with short arms against 6'6 with long arms. He had enough trouble reaching Lewis as it was. It also takes some of the steam off the punches. Wlad showed against Peter he can move and box for 12 rounds without being caught on the ropes or in a corner on a single occasion, against the Nigerian Nightmare. Tough one to call. I'd go with a decision for Wlad, but Tua is dangerous until the final bell.
BANG- and Wlad is out!!!! I'd like to think so anyway, it is very possible, but most likely Wlad may win it imo
Tua woudl not land the hook. In truth Tua was not a brave fighter vs Lewis or gasp, Chris Byrd. Wlad block the hook well, and can clinch. Tua would not get past his jab. Same as in the Lewis fight. Rhaman who is not as good as Wlad and pretty much even in the chin department got the better of Tua minus a foul after the bell which lead to a knockout. I think that best sums it up. Wlad UD makes the most sense. Tua has a shot at a Knockout. I also think Wlad has a shot at a TKO.
Tua was already starting to get overweight against Lewis and Byrd. Lewis is a better fighter than Wlad at pretty much every category as well and Wlads defense is not that of Byrds or Lewis. Wlads inside fighting consists of clinching, thats it. Eventually Tua is going to land a big hook as he comes in to clinch. In the Rahman fight, Tua was overweight and had a pisspoor workrate. If you took the Tua from the Ike fight and put him in there he would of destroyed Hasim.
I think Wlad beats Tua the same way he bet Peters in their fight. Tua tends to not throw punches and gets frustrated (like in the lennox fight). Wlad by UD. I do see Wlad going down though; but getting back up to win.
