Doubt he grew into his frame several years into his career. Possible he did it the right way. But I have my doubts about all the top guys.

I recommand you watching this fight, Moore made Valdes (very solid fighter, with similar measurements as Ruddock though lighter) look clueless.

He was very green, but it says something when a sub par puncher at MW KOs you.

Maybe the camera angle had a bit to do with that.

I watched film of Frazier-Quarry 1 on YouTube and both fighters had skinny legs like this (causing some viewers to scoff at how a stick legged bloke like Joe could win a world title and how it’s an example of how crap the old guys were compared to today’s behomeths that are revolutionising boxing etc etc). As we know Joe Frazier most assuredly did not have skinny legs like Dainty Deontay.

Old lenses made the film not deep enough and these low quality cameras did a poor job focusing on details. I know that from watching 1960s basketball - Wilt Chamberlain looked ripped and huge in high quality footage, while in lower quality he usually looks skinny.

He also beat Harold Johnson, Bob Baker, Nino Valdez, the indestructible Cleveland Williams and many more.

Uh, and I was saying the film footage referred to may be misleading.
