David vs. WK: Hype, Hope and Reality

Haye won't sit on the ropes and let Wlad paw away at him. Haye will try to get Wlad to come after him and look to counter from lateral movement.

 

Haye and the whole thing is a 100% total hype job and an absurd mismatch. The only thing competitive about Haye is his mouth. He has no chance. What is he going to do, try and run away all night while throwing an occasional potshot like he did in his phony win over Valuev? That's not going to work. Who has he fought to prepare himself or prove himself for such a contest? Harrison?

 

hopefully, that will be the plan, like the valuev fight. but, that will be another borefest:tired

 

If Haye runs for the whole fight, Wlad is quite entitled to jab him to death. And he will! There is no escape Haye, YOU WILL LOSE!

 

It should be an exciting fight.

WK is not going to find it half as easy as some of you think but he has more ways to win.

I think Haye is about as good offensively as Sanders and WK is going to have to deal with that, sink or swim.

Also Haye is going to have to deal with a prime, motivated super-heavy with a 'railroad tie on a rope' jab.

I think its gonna be worth watching.

 

How ridiculous. I never saw so much spin and stupid hype as for this obnoxious loud mouthed fake who never even fought, let alone beat, one single top heavy. He didn't really beat Valuev, you know.

 

Fight comes down to what Wlad does, not the other way around. We know how Haye is going to fight this fight, no matter what he says in the buildup. He will fight on the backfoot, try to be elusive and counter with vicious looping punches. It's all about Wladimir's performance. If he starts well, throws the jab with authority, stays loose and lets his hands go accordingly, then Haye is in a world of trouble. Wladimir is not that slow, punches very hard, and is stronger, fitter and wiser than Haye. The problem is he seldom operates at over 90percent. Even in his recent title run, how often have we seen Emmanuel Setward exasperated with him in the corner because he's: not punching enough, not punching hard enough etc. If Wlad gets over cautious then I think Haye knocks him out. If Chambers had possessed mega power then Wladimir would have been in big trouble.

 

How? He still couldn't land anything.

If Chambers' landed he might have hurt Wlad. Fast Eddy doesn't produce that many stoppages because of his style but he did hit hard enough to bust up Povetkin's face, drop Dimitrenko several times, and inflict career ending damage to Brock's eye.

 

Whatever the outcome we must realise the positive side is that it will bring exposure to boxing which it badly needs. Boxers come and go,some fights will be boring some fights will be exciting,thats the way it goes but as long as fights generate interest it will keep the sport 'nice and healthy'.

 

The only thing this hyped up mismatch is about is keeping the pockets of the boxing mobsters "nice and healthy". If they really wanted to make the sport "nice and healthy" they'd get rid of the Don Kings and the crooked judges and make it legit, like soccer/football or baseball, etc.
