Neither. They are not as good and outside of talent why would we want another Mayweather. Someone that drags out fights til way past their due date and ends his career fighting Berto. I'll pass if that's the legacy they want.

I really dig Crawford and I'm really looking forward to seeing him try his luck up there, but do you think he's skilled enough to dominate at full WW? There are some big guys in there and some of them are pretty good. Or am I underestimating his size?

I dont think Davis has the IQ to last... imo. So no I dont think he comes close to being the next Floyd. Hope he proves me wrong.

...Why would you think Davis has the best chance to be Lomachenko?

    I will say this..
I believe Bud can hold his own against the top WWs . Will it be enough to overcome them? I dont think so..

Ive said it before out of all the WWs Shawn Porter could very well be the worst matchup for Crawford.

I dont want to see any fighter try to become the next Floyd, or even try to imitate Floyd.
The dude is long gone and boxing needs to move on from his era.
Let this new generation of fighters create their own path .

He's 5'8" with a 70 inch reach, similar to Canelo, but he looks taller because of his slim frame. He's dominating most of his competition, maybe he wont dominate as much at 147 against the elite, but he'll find a way to win. If his boxing won't work, he has enough pop to keep them humble, he's much more versatile than any 147lber. Because of his size, I think his power will carry up with him. I think he'll be able to win some on skill alone tho. Like Ggg, he'll know who to go toe to toe with and who to box. Powerful punchers like Thurman, Swift, and even Spence seem one dimensional to me, they haven't fought a pure boxer of Bud's caliber. Herrera exposed Garcia and Collazo exposed Thurman, Bud would expose both as well.

Davis won't beat Loma, isn't half as good as Crawford, and isn't a pimple on Mayweather's ass.

Thread should be Spence or Crawford tbh, if we're talking "successful American p4p boxer" (since none of the above really sync up with Mayweather stylistically)

Davis seems like his only wish in life is to be exactly like Mayweather. On the other hand if you asked Crawford if he wants to be the next Mayweather he'd probably slap you on the spot. Real champions are interested in carving out their own legacy.

When are you going to hold Davis to that standard you're holding Lomachenko to right now?

Okay, you made it sound like Loma was ducking that style of fighter. Since Davis is the only fighter with that style and Davis, or his management rather, doesn't seem keen on that fight just yet then there's no need to point fingers. I have no doubt that if they both keep winning they'll fight. Hopefully when Davis gets a little older he'll take his career into his own hands. He's a fun fighter to watch.

I think Davis would be found lacking against Farmer, let alone NoMas.

    Lol.

Yeah there is a good reason he’s never fought a guy bigger, stronger, faster, and with a good chin. It’s because that fighter doesn’t exist. But please, name that fighter.

And no, Davis wouldn’t have a prayer. Hence why TMT is hiding him from Loma. He would get embarrassed. He may not even get the opportunity to quit on his stool like the ***** he really is.

But no worries, you won’t have to endure sitting through that beatdown anytime soon, Davis will duck him.
