He's a big puncher who's got solid fundamentals but has had problems with his creativity, defence and output at times. The only time he lost was to Patrick Teixeira for the WBO title at 154 in a fight he was winning 6 rounds to nothing to begin with before being caught with a peach of a shot to get knocked down in the 7th and losing the rest of the fight to take a 114-113 loss. Basically Adames is world level at the weight class below Derevyanchenko but he was a big 154lber anyway so he won't be outsized much in all likelihood. It's another killer for poor Sergiy.
