No, no one wanted the one Vs Charlo. There was no demand for it. So not like that one at all.

Benavidez has always been a hype job. He's used to bullying the little guy at 168 for his entire career who isn't strong enough to stand up to him. That's why his defense is so crap to where he'll literally stand there right in front of them, put up his arms to weather whatever they throw then overpower them right afterwards. When you have that kind of advantage going for you, why bother learning how to defend at all? 25 lbs to the table on fight night" comment is very much the source of why Benavidez has been able to get away with what he does. He's just too big for 168.

That ends however against Gvozdyk and the rest of 175. Those guys are just as big as him with most being stronger and better at boxing. Benavidez will have to learn how to actually fight if he wants to win here.

Rayo vs valenzuelaela 2 would be the cherry on top for this card.

I’ll be amazed if gvozdyk fights Beterbiev again, that guy took his soul! Gvozdyk vs Bivol is cool though

Charlo easily had a bigger fanbase than Benavidez does. He's not box office either but he's sold fights at least.

Inoue has a bigger fan base than Benavidez as well, but again no one is demanding that fight against Canelo.

Benavidez is a massive fight because of the demand, it's what the fights want. It's Patterson v Liston, Rocky v Clubber.

You care too much about the finances as I've told you before. This fight is big because of the two men fighting.

No one cares about Benavidez v Joe Bloggs. Quite a few care about Canelo v Joe Bloggs. Everyone cares about Canelo v Benavidez.

Everybody wants to throw finances out the window when venting about these matchups. You can't, the financials literally sit at the heart of this sport now and influence every single move. So as much as you would like to put the blinders on you just can't anymore if you're discussing fight negotiations.

Like I said, it's just a boring topic which means nothing to anyone but the fight managers.

If Benavidez beats the winner of Beterbiev v Bivol he calls the shots whether you like it or not.

Ryan Garcia thought he called the shots and started dictating terms at LWW because of his Instagram following and he just got laughed off all the negotiation tables.

You can spend every day on a boxing forum talking about facts and figures if you want.

I'd rather discuss fight I want to see.

In this division that is simply Canelo v Benavidez.

Prepare to be disappointed, repeatedly if you want to talk about fights you want to see but not money sales etc. That stuff means more than rankings in 2024 if we're being completely honest. And if it was only for managers we wouldn't have so many reactions to desired purse #'s ya know.

I'm not as emotionally invested as you and boxing isn't the main sport I follow, so there's no need for disappointment.

I'll just continue to voice which fights I want to see, and will continue to call out fighters who avoid those fights.

I don't care about the finances, but if you're a finance fan that's fine. I just want the best to fight each other.

I believe you mistake engaging on a message board from time to time with being emotionally invested lol. I'm just an opinionated person(aren't we all) that tends to go in depth if I'm going to talk about something and I've been watching boxing for a long time.

Well he tested for coke once, and he was undisciplined and came in fat another time.

He only has himself to blame.

What makes David Benavidez an even bigger scumbag is that he tested positive just prior to starting his training camp for the highly demanded rematch with his greatest rival, whom he’d been given a draw with in a fight that 95% of all fans thought he’d lost.
Oh wait…that was the other guy
