I think this is going to be a pretty solid fight. Pedraza obviously isn't going to let anything go without a fight (Isn't he the only current Puerto Rican male with a title?) And on the flip side, Davis is always on the front foot and looking for big shots.

Good call, sir. I figured Davis had an extra gear that Pedraza didn't have...but I didn't expect him to take Pedraza apart quite like that.

I wonder if that adage about speed being a killer is accurate. Is it really the most "overpowered" attribute in boxing, so on and so forth.

The OP meant well and was on point, but these type of threads always end up in disaster. A lot of DKSAB and definitive wrong shitty opinions with no reasoning behind him.

Gervonta's speed was too much and he was ready mentally for this step up so good call for the thread creator. Also yes, Floyd is a matchmaker here and he wasn't going to put his guy in over his head.

pedraza couldnt get his jab going because he would of been countered all night, he tried angles and so on but ended stifling his own work, also pedraza who couldnt establish a jab, hasnt got the speed or accuracy to land lead lefts. man he was beaten up.

As if Loma would hide from anyone. Davis has a belt now and is tailor made for Loma, Davis looks fun so I hope to see that fight.

You were spot on with this one but quite wrong on you recent pick of Degale as having the potential to surpass other great British SMWs.

Care to row back on tipping Degale to surpass Froch and Calzaghe?

He still can if he beats Ramirez and Groves. Saturday was a draw. This result will look better in hindsight when Jack beats the likes of Kovalev at 175.

Bold statement in regards to Jack beating Kovalev at 175. Kovalev' power is something different than anything Jack has ever seen before. He may do good for a few rounds or so because he's got skills and has world class experience, but it would only be a matter of time before Kovalev catches him with something big most likely a counter right over the Jab. And that can be all she wrote. And I like both fighters, I'm just being as real as I can be.
