unsure...hopkins shocked the hell out of pascal. i don't think he'll have the same gameplan next time. dawson has the jermain taylor problem: all the talent, none of the drive or aggression

pascal has been on the luckiest two fight win streak in 2010. Bad chad was on the way to stopping him and Bhop out boxed him like hell.

    True.

I picked Pascal to beat Dawson and then Hopkins to beat Pascal, and both predictions came true in how the fight actually went. Obviously the knockdowns effected the Hopkins fight but I did expect him to outbox Pascal easily and I think he did.

Should there be a rematch, Pascal would lose to both. Dawson needed that loss.

Yeah I agree with this too. In my opinion, I think Dawson will be able to beat both of them now

    True.

Let's hope that Hopkins popped that big head of Pascal and that Pascal actually redoubles his efforts to improve. Against Dawson, he did win, but Dawson lost the fight. And by that I mean that Dawson seemed to be the reason he lost, not because Pascal was so great, just because Dawson was so passive and not aggressive enough... And when he started to open up at the end of the bout, 'lucky' headbutt opens a cut and night over for Dawson, just when it seemed he was getting started...

Against Hopkins, he got again lucky, shot behind the head scored a knockdown, and a 2nd knockdown which didn't seem like much, gives him the draw instead of a loss... The old man gave him a boxing lesson and by all experts and boxing fans worthy of the name, hopkins should have won... Pascal was trying to run away the 2nd half of the fight, and was much more winded than old man Hopkins...

In those two instances, Pascal was lucky to get the win/draw... In a rematch, if Dawson brings his A game and starts the fight like he did at the end of the match, or if Hopkins starts the match like the 2nd half of the fight, Pascal has really nothing he can do... He has porous defense, a wild jump in style which as shown can be countered by an aging boxer with solid boxing base (hopkins), Pascal just needs to work on the basics and improve as a fighter. He's impressive against third rate fighters, but against top level opponents (who, unlike Dawson, show up to fight), really not much he can do.

"He's like RJJ, but he's not RJJ". I think he's sort of like RJJ, he has the speed, power, just doesn't have the boxing talent, he's too often wild, out of balance, doesn't have the stamina, stamina, combinations, defense, etc....
