Dawson is cherry-picking he should face Johnson now rather than waiting for Johnson to get old and rematching him so he can 'look better'. He knows Johnson is past 40 and sliding fast - its a clever move & one which is picked up on with other fighters reguarly when they do it; just not Dawson for some reason.

 

Tarver excercised his rematch clause dumbass.

Both guys are avoiding at least 1 fighter for the time being. The big difference here, however, is that Dawson vacates belts to avoid fighting mandatories while Margarito goes to court with his promoter to fight his mandatory against the very guy he's been accused (by some) of avoiding right now.

I'm trying to give Dawson the benefit of the doubt, but if he drops his IBF belt to avoid fighting his mandatory, Tavaris Cloud, in order to rematch Tarver of all people right now despite the rematch clause not demanding it to be an immediate rematch, then that is some weak-ass **** right there.

If he doesn't have to fight Tarver again straightaway, why not give someone else a shot first?

If he's looking to give a rematch to someone, why not Glen Johnson rather than Tarver?

Dawson did not want Tarver again, there was a rematch clause in the initial contract and Tarver is a huge douchebag for actually enacted the clause
