Don't sweat it, Pimp. I suspect that Chad beats Pascal in a rematch.

Dawson may have "ducked" Diaconu, but in reality he gave the title up on his terms to take a bigger money fight. Why should he have gone to corrupt as hell Romania, fight Diaconu for next to nothing, win....and still lose the title via Diaconu's bribed hometown judges and ref?

Dawson was overrated. He did not fight very often and preferred older fighters.

    Listeen Jorneybaby:

First, write some posts more to discuss with me.

Second, yes Diaconu pulled out with an injury yes, but in the meantime Diaconu beated Henry, wich is top ten now either, in Bucharest.
The Dawson`s problem is the same as these days: the audience.
So was in discussion a title match in Bucharest, too.
So if you`re so clever if you pretend you can see the reasoning, smartass.

So, Bute would be a problem for Dawson.

Neutral fans + boxing fans, not rooting for either Diaconu or Dawson

Yeah, then why people from US accuse Calzaghe on this forum to not have fought earlier with the American boxers in US (despite the dishonoured purse offered)

The same thing with Paquiao - Mayweather. Paquiao is accused to not want to do someting never asked for a boxer in the entire boxing history.
PBF will lose the trial and will fight or lose the reputation too.

    Exactly, you recognized.

So, maybe the word "ducking" is wrong, maybe "avoiding a dangerous situation" is the truth.

So, I`m not illogic and what I wrote isn`t an aberration as some smartasses post here.

Could you maybe consider posting your answers in one post instead of spamming the board with 5 posts in a row?

Here are the two possible scenarios for Dawson between Johnson and Pascal:

    Scenario one:

Defend WBC title v Diaconu for career high payday

Unify WBC and IBF titles v Tarver

Defend unified titles against undefeated challenger Cloud

Result (going into Pascal fight): wins over veterans Johnson and Tarver, plus two undefeated challengers, holder of two titles.

    Scenario two:

Vacate WBC title belt and fight Tarver for IBF title belt for less money than Diaconu offered. Sell c400 tickets in Vegas for fight.

Fight Tarver again in completely pointless rematch as a result of having given away all leverage by vacating WBC belt. Again hold fight in Vegas and sell less than 1000 tickets.

Vacate IBF belt to fight Johnson again in hometown again for not much reason, again sell hardly any tickets.

Result (going into Pascal fight): wins over veterans Johnson and Tarver, holder of no titles and no fanbase.

Explain why it is so obviously clear that scenario two is a better career path...

It doesn't matter if I'm a senior member or not. It is not good form to post five or six consecutive posts. It is possible to quote multiple times in one post and it is much easier to establish an overview of the points made if you do so. It takes a bit more work and dedication, but maybe you're just too lazy to do so?

    I`m gonna take this lesson.

But excepting mastering other people how to post have you not other things to do at this hour ?

On a thread, the people are respected in the measure they have at least one opinion regarding the issue. You have not.
