    Scroll down to second section. Haven't seen a thread made on this yet. Is nobody excited or am I late?! Last I heard it was off, looks like it's back on now! No April fools! :yep

    ----Promoter Gary Shaw said the issues that threatened the May 21 fight between former light heavyweight titleholders Chad Dawson (29-1, 17 KOs) and Adrian Diaconu (27-2, 15 KOs) have been worked out, and the fight will proceed as planned.

    The fight will serve as opening bout on the HBO card headlined by the Jean Pascal-Bernard Hopkins light heavyweight championship rematch at the Bell Centre in Montreal.-----

    Looks like Emanuel Steward was concerned about Dawson fighting a Montreal-based fighter in Montreal and that's why the fight was going to be cancelled. :think

    Doesn't think Dawson vs Pascal should have been stopped when it was. I don't think so either, but that's not the point of this thread.

    This was the smart thing to do for Dawson. He should be able to beat Diaconu and then get the winner of Hopkins-Pascal, all on HBO. If he would have backed out of the fight who knows who, where, or when his next fight would have been.

    Yes. He needed to keep this fight and win it to keep relevant. He's been dismissed by a lot of people because of the Pascal fight.

    You guys think Dawson will come out really aggressive like he's been saying? He looks really good while being aggressive. If he does, maybe he'll stop Adrian.

    Diaconu his dangerous in the early rounds! i think it will be smarter for Bad Chad to wait for Adrian to gas out a little before getting agressive!
