Most Romanians would fight in a carpark in Lincolnshire for a tenner, 1.8m seems a bit pricey.

 

The fight will be in Romania, but no...this fight will lose the Romanians money. They want to build a scene there, so they are prepared to make some losses, even if they're not going to recoup them off Diaconu in future fights. The investors are mostly very rich guys who have recently become boxing fans and they are prepared to throw away a couple of $100.000ds because they found Diaconu's fight against Henry exciting...true story!:deal

 

Glen Johnson would step in to fight Diaconu willingly, in Romania, for the belt, if Dawson dropped it. Johnson never ducked anyone...:yep

Of course Henry would be gracious. He doesn't have a solid promoter, and would like to get another shot eventually. Whether or not a fighter complains, those factors almost always exist when a fighter travels halfway across the world (other than the training space issue, which is unique to countries where boxing isn't popular).

 

Dawson is going to beat the **** out of The shark for making him go to Romania. The thing that I'm pissed about is it won't be shown on HBO or Showtime so I won't get to see the carnage.
