Dawson: Exposed.

At this point, who's not going to be annoyed at Johnson related robberies?

This has been going on for years.

 

I'm surprised this thread took so long to come about, thanks for doing your esb duty and starting an 'exposed' thread after a good, competitive fight.
Actually Dawson showed good heart, chin, and offence in this fight.
He has to work on his defence of course, but Johnson is a great fighter and there is no shame in going life and death with him.
That said, I think Diaconu KO Dawson when they meet. He has more power than Johnson and will hurt Dawson if able to land as frequently as Glen did.

At least now we won't have to put up with the Yanks saying Calzaghe is ducking Dawson after he retires Hopkins. Both Dawson and Tarver looked like **** last night, let them fight each other to see who's the least ****.

 

Dawson is a fraud. He's Terry Norris with a few extra pounds. Great offense, quick hands, crap chin, no defense. He is not even on the same continent as all-timers like Joe C or Bernard.

dawson undeniably showed a great chin last night,but he lacked the offensive movement to create any real openings for himself and he really really got owned on the inside by a vulgar johnson,he should have learnt alot from last nights fight.however all i saw was a jeff lacy in the making.

I understand what you're saying though. He is not anywhere close to the level that people were trying to make him out to be, that is for sure.

 

I feel really bad for Glen, he's a great guy and great for the sport and in my eyes CLEARLY won the fight. On the plus side he showed Dawson for what he is. Skilled but limited.

Dawson talked in the post fight interview about executing a plan, but I'm not buying that as Johnson walked him down all fight. Dawson was landing some in his occasional flurries as Glen came in, but all Glen needed to get inside was throw out that pawing jab. If this is enough to throw off an elite class fighter who was supposed to dominate, then boxing is in serious trouble. Dawson couldn't keep Glen on the outside, so either he's not smart enough or not good enough to execute a simple "stay on the outside and box" plan.

It was clear to me that the better, harder shots were coming from Johnson, the body of work from Johnson and he goes and gets unanimous 116-112 scores against him? Something really needs to be done about bad judging, how and why can this happen so frequently when the judges scoring fights are the minority?

"fraud" is an apt term to describe the likes of fraudley. hyped up con men, without any substance, who amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things. dawson has actually shut out a top 10 lightheavy in adamek enroute to winning a title. a fraud would have gotten starched before he even got a whiff of the top 10.

johnson is'nt an easy fight for anyone.

 

Floyd Mayweather Sr. said Dawson has a Glass Jaw also he was hurt several times by feather fisted Glen Johnson. Didn't Gary Shaw say at one time that Dawson could move up to Heavyweight? He would get killed.
