just as there are many threads calling calzaghe overated and this and that, so today and last week there were to many threads calling dawson and pavlik such and such.

judge fighters on there abilty and not there passports.

sadly missing in the last few years on esb.

 

He should continue his old man rampage.He should fight Reggie Johnson next

 

CALZAGHE has been a world champion for exactly ELEVEN YEARS.
His top 4 wins are Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy, and either Eubank or Mitchell (IMO it's Mitchell all things considered).

DAWSON has been a world champion for EIGHTEEN MONTHS.
His top 4 wins are Tarver, Johnson, Tomasz Adamek (was 31-0 when Dawson beat him, now ranked#2 at cruiser) and Eric Harding.


That says it all about ol' Shabby Resume.

 

Dawson IMO looks a decent boxer, and would probably be a lot harder fight for Calzaghe / bhop than a Pavlik. He has fast hands and good footwork. Wasn;t overly impressed in the Johnson fight though and I think the Tarver fight was hard to gauge

 

Adamek is a one dimensional bum, Dawson is a nobody, but Jeff Lacy is a good fighter?

Well at least he had the balls to fight Johnson what about Cazlaghe??? How many times did he postpone his fight with Johnson????

Funny thing about this whole Dawson Johnson thing is Kessler and Calzaghe fans are the ones cring that Dawson lost to Johnson..As if that is a disgrace or something, not to mention that Dawson actaully won the fight.

 

Chad won at least 6 rounds against Johnson, he beat Glen.
Fights are scored one round at a time, not by who looked better at the end.

Adamek will only be beaten by elite fighters.

Tarver had just schooled Clinton Woods who is a world class fighter and Dawson outclassed Tarver.

Saying Chad is on the same level with Calzaghe is wrong but Chad is on his way to great things.

Hate all you want hitman.

 

Or very good fighters who have 25 lbs on him.

 

Dawson is nothing, that's correct. He's a flashy fraud who Showtime thinks they can market to a particular segment of the audience who needs a hero right now and who isn't really into David Haye or Paul Williams. That's about it.

Dawson has fought men at the end of their careers (Harding, Tarver, Johnson) and a guy who went up 25 pounds in his following fight (Adamek). He shamelessly, repeatedly ducked Diaconu and dropped his WBC belt rather than have Adrian blow up his glass jaw in the ring.

He's a joke, much as the 140+ lbs. PBF was a joke. Buy the hype at your own peril.
