Dawson is an Idiot for taking this fight!

He's not getting younger and wants big money fights already. He knows that by staying at Light heavyweight, he doesn't have any rich offers so he either moves down to the rich Super middleweight division or stays at light heavyweight and retires an unknown like Calzaghe.

He doesn't looked drained and in the boxing world Dawson will get his due and will lead to bigger things if he wins. Obviously he thinks he will win.

He's doing the right thing by fighting the best he could fight.

He's doing a great thing by going down in weight and fighting in the other guy's backyard too.

When this fight got signed, I became a Dawson fan.

Dude's not doing it for the chimp-change Ward is throwing him either.

He'd doing it to prove what he can be. He's daring to be great.

Yeah, I hope Dawson ****s Ward up G-style.

Won't happen, but Dawson's decision to try is what makes his move a great one - this is the kind of move that is keeping boxing alive.

You see though I agree he may be drained, he isnt old, like Glenn Johnson was who came back at 168 and fought well against Froch and a few other super middles.

Now of course everybody is different some will be more effected by the cut in weight than others, but you would think that the older man Johnson would have been clearly effected and that didnt happen.

So I honestly do not think this was all that bad of a move, Wards going to fight in Jokeland, he isnt stupid, he is going to make sure that he has every advantage he can get going in no matter who he fights.

but should that back fire its all going to speak volumes on both fighters I like ward here not because of the weight issue, but because Dawson has at times fought like a deer stuck in the headlights which likely will be the case tonight, Ward is just too crafty

I'm a late convert to Chad and it was quite ironic that as a fan of Hopkins,I really started to thaw on Chad during the rematch build up.
Good on him for giving us this fight.Compare him to that arsehole Cleverly then see how you feel.

 

Ive always been a huge fan of dawson hes faught everybody and anybody. I havent been on here as of late but all of facebook ive been saying that hes gonna win this fight. There is no way ward is just gonna smother him. Hes too technically good an unlike froch he has better hand a foot speed an has a good enough chin take take wards best an not flinch. I just hope his lulls wont let ward still rounds
im really torn kuz im a huge fan of ward an he used to come to my gym in vegas to spar and dawson was walkin through the mandalay bay after a fight(when he did that honeycomb thing to his hair before pascal) went out of his way to give sme an autograph an when i told him how huge a fan i was gave me a legit thank u an the hat off of his head. Gotta love that man. Huge respect to both fighters but i think dawsons gonna take that 0 but ward wont lose to nobody else for awhile imo

 

Not a fan of Cleverly, but to be fair, he knows his level and there's no point in him taking any risks, because he's not going to ever be a true world-class fighter (solid B level), and he knows it. Boxing is a business and he is cashing in on whatever talent it is he has whilst it lasts, because he's got an excellent promoter to look after him. Can't expect more from him.

Dawson can do a lot more, so it makes sense.

 

Nobody should be bashing Dawson cause he wants ward to have every advantage in his favor in which it might not smart but dawson got b4lls big time. If dawson beats ward, if he's not atleast top 5 or top 4 p4p then boxing is a damn joke.
