Well I'm buying this fight; it's not often you get the two best from two weight divisions willing to fight each other. Dawson has had to make all the concessions in this fight. If he loses and it's a close fight there should be demand for a rematch at light heavy and Ward can come to his backyard. Dawson deserves all the praise in the world for taking this fight and if he manages to pull it off well his popularity and credentials are going to rocket. This is one fight I'm looking forward to. Hope Chad some how pulls it off. And on the flip side if Dawson loses he really doesn't lose out too much; the weight draining and fighting away from home excuses are there for him to fall back on.
:thumbsupYep...a completely foolish move on his part..he could have stayed in his 175 division and tried to dominate it...and he still very well could. But this was a profound mistake...and it shows that he has a seriously flawwed sense of professional judgement.
so you fault him for trying to fight the best in the division and losing? everyone else tries to fight the weakest belt holder or interim titlist.... not sure i get why you fault a guy who has balls to fight the best and take a risk. need more people like chad dawson
I give Chad props for trying but it was foolish to come down and if that is his pay for that fight his promoter should get slapped!!!!!!!!
the best 175 pound guy in the world loses 7 pounds and fights a smaller but best 168 pound guy in the world and all the sudden he is a Mario Veit type skilled challenger? :rofl:rofl you people are drama queens and just love excuses.... 1 very good fighter kicked another very good fighters ass. it is that simple
I never said he would have beaten Ward i just said it was foolish to come down....healthwise its a bad move and its foolish from a business standpoint.
