Dawson is so poor Woods would probably beat him.

Chad dawson would still beat clinton woods. Woods is shyte against slick fighters, chad would win by running away like tarver did, just jabbing him and lettin clinton come forward in straight lines. Clinton just comes forward hes like a robot

I was at the fight and had good seats....Johnson won that fight!!!! Dawson was in full retreat mode all night because of the pressure Glen was putting on him. And I would also agree with the author of this thread, Clinton Woods would give Dawson all the fight he wanted. Dawson is chinny, has good power at best, and gets hit a lot. Woods didn't figure out how to fight Tarver for five rounds. If he starts the fight against Dawson the way he finished it against Tarver he has an excellent shot at winning.

How can Dawson be Lacy when Dawson won the fight against Johnson, while Lacy was totally dominated against Calzaghe. Dawson will improve after this fight, and he'll look better in his next fight, which should be against either Adrian Diaconu or Chris Henry.

Just how many U.S. boxers have crossed the pond and fought Calzaghe on his turf? And how many times has Calzaghe traveled anywhere outside of the British Isles?

  6. So you're indirectly stating any american based fight would be biased towards an american fighter, that is the logic you've just used you realize that? Think about what you've just implied......or should that be admitted?

If Dawson needs to improve then you're also admitting he isn't good enough.:yikes

Chad had serious problems with Glen in the first 6 rounds.

Once he stopped staying inside, Chad took Glen off of his game and won the fight.

At most, Johnson won 6 rounds.

At the least, Chad won 6 rounds.

I had it 7-5 for Chad and in a rematch, Bad Chad wins much easier.

Chad beats Woods and he'll beat Tarver.

Dawson had a tough fight with a guy only elite fighters can beat.

    Why is that so bad?

He showed heart, skill and grit to win.

He also showed true experience by switching things up when he had to.

    Props to both men!

I thought Johnson edged it out, and I was rooting for Dawson.

Either way, a rematch is certainly warranted.

well said and is what I took out of the fight on saturday. People say chad has a bad chin - yet he didnt even get knocked down, and actually showed me that he can maintain his composure when he is in trouble. That is championship stuff right there. And to top it off, he came back and finished off stronger. Chad will beat joe.

no way johnson edged it out. watch the fight again. Johnson got outlanded and remeber, it is EFFECTIVE aggressivness, not just aggressivness. Chad outlanded the **** out of johnson.

You're ****ing crazy. Dawson would beat the brakes off of Woods. Your UK fighter got his ass kicked this weekened and a fight with Dawson would be no different. Get lost with this pathetic bash job of Dawson.:-(

  14. In your haste to brit-bash you neglected to read the top and 1st sentence of my post. Here, let me remind you:

"And that aint saying much since Woods is poop"

More to the point I don't recall ever once saying anything about Woods being great prior to this saturday either :good

I'll probably catch the fight again at some point.

Regardless, I had Johnson edging it out and I fully expected Chad to outclass him. Dawson showed heart and resolve, but he was fighting scared for much of the fight, and as for EFFECTIVE aggression, was Chad's aggression really more effective than Johnson's?

That is certainly a matter of debate.

Either way, if Chad wants a great learning experience, he should grant Johnson a rematch.
