Whilst im riding high from my bookies win after correctly prediciting last nights outcome (Wide UD Hopkins) I thought I'd give me take on these 2 proposed fights. For me as it stands, Dawson loses to both Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins. Chad hasnt got the ring intelligence, adaptability or experience to deal with 2 proven masters of the ring. I go back to the Glen Johnson fight, after Dawsons initial explosion Glen started walking him down now rather than adapting Chad just continued to lose rounds. Chad looked confused and he was nearly put down. We're not talking about Tarver or Johnson here, we're talking 2 of the best ever. I dont think Dawson would be able to use his tools like he would in any other fight against these two. Look at the way Joe's attributes were taken away by Hopkins early in the fight, and look at the way it swinged around as Joe adapted. Dawson isnt a master defensive boxer so he would need to attack and come forward which is IDEAL for counter-punchers. Does anyone have an arguement for how Chad would beat Joe or Bernard ? Would be good to see a decent analysis, but bare in mind even though Dawson has great phsical tools he hasnt the defence or intelligence of an elite fighter...yet.
