    Hopkins Dawson 2

    Dawson Official Weight Unnofiicial weight

    173.5 187

    Ward Dawson

    Official Weight Unnoficial Weight

    168 on the dot. 185

Mother****er was drained as **** walking dead man in there, no wonder pillow fists Ward rocked him every round and Dawson didn't look himself, Chad was just weak, so those analyzing need to realize Dawson wasn't boxing at his best nor was he committing to any of his shots he was inactive, and just in survival mode, a ****ing JAB dropped him LMAO he's faced bigger men and bigger punchers and never been down... come on now. Dawson hadn't been at 168 since 2006 and is a big boy already draining from 187 to 175 then in one shot all the way to 168 come on now.. that performance was based off of chads weak self in there and not wards skill.

The rematch at 175 would be much different.

Chad didn't even hardly punch. **** was crazy.

I've been a long time Chad fan, and that wasn't "Bad Chad" out there at all.

Meh Dawson rehydrated to his normal weight. Weak excuse.

At least ward is fighting legit fighters and not beating up on jr welterweights like canelo

I agree the fight would be diffrent at 175lbs.

It would go the distance this time with Ward getting the decision. :good

I didnt read the thread but i call bull****. Ward dominated Dawson in every way. Knocked his ass down 3 times. I did not expect that. Ward will do the same thing to him at 175.

So draining them one weight class is much better then moving up one weight class from your last fights. One will be healthy with all his skills the other unhealthy walking dead man weakling...

    got it. :good

    I'll re-post:

What's "normal Chad"? For me, normal Chad is a fighter who is prone to mental lapses, depends heavily on his jab to set up his offense, and was beaten soundly by an ambush fighter in Pascal. Sure, he might be more durable at 175, but does that mean he's going to suddenly find a cure for Ward's stylistic strengths? Dawson was still the stronger man and muscled out Ward in the clinch early on; it was only later in the fight Ward had softened up his body enough to comfortably work inside.

Bogo dawson could have actually been trying to win the fight and not be in survival mode after being dropped by a jab, at 175 healthy chad had a shot to over come these technical obstacles you point out ward had over a weak chad. That's all im saying, it would have been an even match and not a domination over a weakened opponent.

It's like cotto vs pac at 154 a healthy cotto actually stands a chance to not get dominated but actually put up a fight. Know what im saying.

Probably. But it would be a lot more competitive. I don't see how anyone can deny that Dawson looked out of it. Ward isn't even known for his punching power, yet dropped him 3 times?

True I mean people don't even take into the fact that Ward was punishing him to the body every chance he got with hooks and straight right hands.

Andre ward fought a prime world class champion and made him look ordinary and eventually stopped him and made him QUIT.

How can you support Canelo and try to diss Ward?

I think it makes no difference...but I wouldn't be surprised if Ward could only manage a wide points decision because Chad would spoil a lot more and come up with a plan to make sure he wasn't embarrassed as much.

Fact is Chad has looked average and uninterested in his last few fights...If Diancou got to him a fair bit, it's really no surprise Ward was going to towel him up..I didn't think he would do it that bad but I knew Dawson would have no answer..different class of fighter, different level of skillset.

That being said the weight certainly helped Ward and was of no help to Chad..at the very least.

No doubt, there would be no KD's i agree with that, but Ward is simply on another level in skill.

Ward >>> Dawson. All there is to it. Anyone trying to descredit Ward are just bitter haters.

Ward is still more determined to win than Dawson, weight doesn't change that along with just being the better and smarter fighter. Do ya think Ward would give away rds to fossils and give away his belt to Pascal who he would've beaten had he stepped up the pace? NO! Dawson has himself to blame he called Ward out at 168 and got his beating at 168. A beating could've happened at 175 Ward is that good but I agree that Ward would not look like a puncher that he did last night.

Still gets my respect for facing anyone though and having a classy post-fight interview but what could he possibly have said negative? Again, he called Ward out at 168 so saying he was drained would only make him look like an idiot.
