Dawson or Pavlik? Who'd be the bigger W for Calzaghe?

How did he show in a fight where he could have easily been stopped that he is impossible to KO?

Pavlik was within an inch of being KO'd by a guy who couldn't KO Ouma and Spinks.

As for Calzaghe, he wins all three of these fights comfortably. He should fight Jones and Pavlik before he retires.

    this is ****ing priceless.

pavlik's a good kid with plenty of potential but he's not even knocking on the door of the top 20 MW's of all time yet, he hasn't even defended his titles as of yet.

Its clear his next fight will be against Roy 'I'm Shot' Jones Jnr anyway. Dollars talk. Joe would love to have the chance of slapping Randolph Turpin around if he wasn't already dead!

You dont read so good. Im not saying that Pavlik is too small, Im saying that is what people would say if Joe fought and beat Pavlik.

Jones has nothing. Jones is a old man that hasnt looked great in a fight since 2002. Jones could beat jones and actually get bashed for it.

Nothing can be said about a fight with Dawson.

I know that its a fight that Calzaghe fans fear, but its the fight that should be made if were talking about legacy.

    Chad Dawson, easy.

Dawson represents the most difficult stylistic task for Calzaghe. He can nearly match Calzaghe in handspeed, has more power, and is right around his prime.

Pavlik is made for him: straight forward, lacks speed, can't deal with the type of angles Calzaghe would show him. Jones is shot, despite the win over Trinidad. He would go into a defensive shell where Calzaghe's swarming attack would get to him. Calzaghe would seriously outwork him.

If Calzaghe beat Dawson, I'd rank him much higher than I do now. Perhaps as high as Bernard Hopkins.

I'm not answering the poll, because it's assuming that Calzaghe wins. I think Pavlik beats him. If I answer Pavlik, for this poll, then I am saying that a win over Pavlik will do more for Joe's legacy. Biased poll.

I'm pretty shocked at the poll results. I thought Dawson would be leading for sure. Dawson is a legit LHW who has beaten some good names in Johnson, Adamek, and Harding. He is undefeated and considered an up and comer. Pavlik meanwhile, is fighting at MW. Yeah, he can fill into a LHW easily in a few years but this is the type of thing that his critics can point to. With Dawson, he's already a proven LHW and champ.

Depends entirely on whether Dawson fulfils his potential. Right now, Pavlik, but I think Daswon will dominate LHW for years to come. Pavlik is the biggest win at the moment.

Joe's resume could really look special if he were to beat Dawson or Pavlik now, and they go on to do great things. Same with Kessler and Lacy. His greatness will not be properly assessed until these guys hang them up.

I went with Dawson, Pavlik didn't look all that good fighting at supermiddle. I know that Chad struggled with Johnson, but it would look better for Cazaghe to get a victory over another champion at lightheavy than to beat a guy moving up from a lower weight class.

it's an if, but's and maybe's question. i am not saying he 100% would win those fights, but if he were to fight and if he were to beat one of those guys, which would be more impressive?

    rocket science, it ain't.

Ray Seales: He's 56 years old, blind, and hasn't fought since 1983. Maybe joe could land an effective straight punch:nut
