Dawson is so over hyped. He wont get past diancou. he is such a hot prospect that a romanion geezer won purse bids agaisnt him.
Dawson is faster and a better combination puncher but Tarver is more defensively sound IMO. It would be a close fight but I'd favour Dawson but only if he uses his feet and doesn't stand in front of Tarver and throw all those flashy combinations he likes to. If he can pick his shots he can win but if he fought like he did against Johnson he would lose. But I don't think Dawson is going to get past Diaconu anyway.
Dawson is very talented and very good. I think he is better than B+...maybe even A-... ...still, his chin is not the best and neither is his mental strength - he loses concentration and he doesn't stick to the gameplan. These are some serious limiting factors that you cannot really correct. However, as a person he is a joke and a prima donna. I hope he loses to a nobody soon; might make a man out him yet!
