Hell no. That's a Top Rank card, and Dawson is with Shaw. Arum is not going to pay the money needed to get Dawson on the card considering Dawson is not a part of Arum's stable. Pretty much all the money from that card is going into Pacquiao's pocket.
Unless you're Team Cloud, in which case you turn down a two fight HBO deal for an easier title fight for a hell of alot less money.
I think Pascal is a better fighter than Dawson but it worries me that he won't have a tune-up before such a big fight. If you look at fighters with similar shoulder injuries, they've looked poor in their return bout, so I'm not as confident as I would usually be. If he's capable to fight at his best, Pascal wins by UD, 8-4 or 7-5.
Already playing the expectations game, I see. So, if Dawson wins, it'll be because Pascal was hurt. Pascal is a professional athlete and knows his body; if he decides he's healthy enough to train and fight, then it's an even playing field. It's not like he's in some dire straights and has to fight like Holyfield does.
we're talking about surgery on the right shoulder of a right handed fighter. Its not about Pascal deciding that he's healthy enough to fight or not. Dawson is his mandatory, and I don't think Pascal is allowed to fight anyone else. I'm sure he'd rather have a tuneup but he's kind of being pushed into a corner here.
This is sweet. But honestly, 100% Pascal would be a live opponent for Dawson, but no one beats Bad Chad at 175. I would of loved to of have seen a rematch with Adamek. I hope Dawson has plans for an invasion at 168. With him in there, it truly would be the "Golden Age" of the 168lbs division. The money, fame, and greatness would await him there.
