Dawson-Pascal poll

Dawson by wide decision. Pascal will press the action and win some rounds because Dawson's not good at fighting back when he's under pressure, but more often than not, Dawson will beat Pascal to the punch.

Pascal relies on his quickness, but mostly throws wide, looping punches. Dawson throws straight punches, and he isn't a midget like Diaconu where Pascal can just stay out of range. 43-year old Silvio Branco was able to beat Pascal to the punch regularly, and Dawson should be able to do the same. Difference is that Dawson ain't bad at getting out of the way himself, and he isn't going to get knocked down a bunch of times near the end of rounds.

Also, we have no idea how well Pascal would do against a decent southpaw, since Pascal has never faced one.

 

dawson can do it all and tight defense. I don't see how pascal can win this fight.

 

Sad to say, I gotta agree with Dawson by decision.

But, I'm hoping Jean can find a way to make it interesting... I plan on being there!

I wouldve guessed Dawson, but remembered how hurt Dawson seemed when caught by Johnson in there first bout, and looking like he may be stopped. Knowing Pascal is faster and I would guess harder punching than Johnson im going to go against the grain and say Pascal by 10th/11th round KO in a fight which Dawson is slightly leading before he gets stopped

 

Dawson admited that he tried to stand toe to toe to try to please the crowd. It was the wrong guy to try against. Johnson is really solid.

True but I think Pascal will be fast enough to catch Dawson more often than hes used to

 

Pascal got outboxed by Froch.

Froch drew Pascal into a brawl like Johnson did Dawson, and although Froch seems crude he may well be better than people think when in his last 4 fights 3 of the fighters were undefeated going in.
If Pascal can draw Dawson into a brawl..............Who knows?

 

i think pascal takes this. many would disagree but i think this fight will be the making of him as true heir to the light heavy division. pascal by ko (possibly while behind on points).

 

I got dawson on points too but I will still put a bet on Pascal and I'll be there cheering for him
