Dawson-Pascal Preview for you...

It will not even be close. Near shut out on the cards and jean pascal receiving a long, drawn out schooling for the full 12. Chad is lightyears beyond the over-rated pascal and I promise that pascal's over-rated speed will look average when it's shown that chad is clearly faster. The size advantage will have pascal needing to take chances that he will pay for. He will become reluctant to swing and fall in line with chad as he dances all over him.

Dawson is upper world class and pascal is just an ordinary fighter who looks good against slow fighters (minus the froch fight). He will be that slow fighter getting out boxed when this match happens and IT WILL NOT BE CLOSE.

 

:thinkHow is Pascal overrated? He's a good fighter and I agree Dawson is on another level compared to him but believe me, no one overrates Pascal. The guy can fight and deserves credit for fighting Dawson I love em both.

 

I think Dawson is class but pascal has the speed and power to trouble Dawson IF he can get inside.

Pascual is being very slept on in this fight. The kid can fight. I don't think things will be easy for Dawson. This won't be a 40 year old fighter this time.

 

I respect him as a fighter but I just do not think he is anything special. He is a little above average in speed but he is not a blazer like some of you say. He has never faught anyone faster than him and he will be noticably slower and less sharp than dawson. His power is nothing special either. He still hasn't beat anyone but a slow, over-rated bumb paper champ diaconu who would prolly lose to allan green.

If he even makes it competitive I will give him alot of respect because his toughest fight so far is froch who would get whipped by 4 guys on chad's resume. I think pascal is gonna be very timid and reluctant to swing when he sees for himself that he is out classed in all department.

 

I agree with this. Although Pascal is fast he doesn't use his speed as good as Dawson does. Pascal will be game but will be thoroughly outclassed by the better boxer who will dictate this fight with his long jab.

 

Pascal is quick but he throws wide punches which kind of negate the fact that he has fast hands.

 

Styles make fights and two sluggers(Froch & Pascal) made a good fight but Pascal fought dumb. Dawson fought dumb against Johnson in the first fight but won the second fight quite easily. If he lets his hands go abit and still fights similar to how he fought in the second fight with Johnson he should win though he should have a few problems as Pascal is a bit awkward sometimes awkwardness can ruin a boxer's timing but Chad is sharp like a tux he should win. Then again, Pascal's no 40-year old man and props to both guys for fighting each other. For Pascal to fight with a dislocated shoulder, how do you not respect a guy as a fighter after that? And for those who love the "sweet science" like me, Dawson is a breath of fresh air though I am a fan of them both.

 

:goodCouldn't have said it better. If he was more accurate & crisper with his punches he would be so much more dangerous. He probably would get more power because he tends to jump with his shots too.

 

don't forget that pascal is pretty heavy handed and dawson has a suspected glass jaw, clearly emphasised when he got knocked down by a eric harding jab who has a stunning 25% ko ratio

dawson also got his head boxed off by a shot, 13 defeat, c-level gatekeeper in glen johnson :rofl

 

How do I watch this fight if I live in Toronto ???

Pascal has about 60% KO ratio (heavy handed ?) and he was almost knocked down by the legendary Omar Pittman. As you can see everyone can have a bad night.

This will be a good matchup and even if I hope Pascal knock Dawson, no need to hate on Chad like you do.
