That would be a great fight but there is no guarantee Kelly will land flush...and even if he does their is no guarantee that Chad can't take it. Kelly has gobs of power but he isn't a one punch knockout artist. Everyone he knocks out he has to beat on them for a while before then submit... I don't think he would be able land on Dawson enough for the accumulation to add up. Thats not even considering Chads Offense and the difference in speed and over all boxing skill.

As you know in boxing anything can happen but I think unless Kelly can land some big punches frequently then he will get picked apart and possibly stopped in the process...

I can see the fight looking like that Dawson-Adamek fight...

I want this fight to happen bad whether Kelly wins or loses against B-hop.

You gotta admit that Kelly at 160 is more effective. But even at 160 he's an accumulation KO puncher. 175 would be totally different. Chad could possibly stop KP if he shows up like last night. He's a lot better than JT imo and has good stamina.

I also doubt Pavlik's power at 175 is as good as Tarvers.

Right now, I'd got with a Dawson KO.. Let Pavlik have a few fights at 168/175 first.. Pavlik can bring an assault, but Dawson's workrate is awesome as he can throw all sorts of combinations at a time..

KP's 2" taller & 2" more reach. Will be a monster at 175. Chad doesn't like to get hit flush & thats what Kelly does best. I'd be amazed if Dawson could stay out of harms way for the full 12. Pavlik rocks him to sleep eventually.

Kelly gets much better leverage & follow through on his power shots. And he's bigger than Tarver.

Dawson gets either the late stoppage or wide UD against Pavlik. In order for Pavlik to be effective he has to have his feet set to get any 1-2 combo off and against Dawson he won't have that privilege, Dawson is also able to pick and choose his spots on when to get his offense going, but my opinion can change depending on how Pavlik improves in the next few years and how he does against Hopkins.

I hope we get to find out sooner than later. I really do. I don't think Kelly punches as hard as Tarver either. It was clear as day that Dawson's body work took the sap out of Antonio.

Chad can throw combinations without gassing, unlike JT. He also moves a lot better. Tough fight for Pavlik to win. Even though I picked him to stop JT before their first fight, I'd be shocked if Arum lets KP go anywhere near Dawson anytime soon.

Why are so many people talking about Pav landing flush? He's not a one punch KO artist...I think that Dawson's work rate and hand speed along with the combinations would lead to a mid to late tko.

Dawson wrecks Pavlik in three with NO difficulty.

We're talking about champions 2 divisions apart, of course the guy at his own weight will be heavily favoured. We can't even make a realistic guesses on this one, once Kelly fights at 170 we'll have a slightly better idea, but even still not enough to go on.
