So Nate Campbell wastes his money and that means Dawson should beat up someone old enough to be his dad for the second time, and that will get him a fight with Calzaghe.

    :good I see your logic.

Pointless fight. Dawson v Johnson makes far more sense but if there was a rematch clause then Tarver can excercise his right. Result......same as last time.

I have a solution to Dawson's dilemma. Try to land a fight with RJJ, and do a PPV with Bradley-Holt as the co-main event. Heck, why not throw Andre Dirrell on there as well, then pay Tarver off. If he beats RJJ convincingly, it sets a showdown against Joe Calzaghe.

That's not my point at all. My point is that belts do not guarentee you big money fights. Beating guys like Erdei and Garay aren't going to get a guy like Calzaghe's attention. Beating someone like a Bernard Hopkins or Kessler would get his attention. Now if he has to fight Tarver again to get HBO to push for these fights then so be it.

OK. I only gave Erdei and Garay as examples when other poster were saying 'oh he can't give up his belts' and 'who else is there to fight'. There are better fights at LHW for him to make than a Tarver re-match and even a HBO TV exec must know that.

 "Nancy-boy"...forgot about that expression. I dunno' if I'd use it to describe Dawson just yet, but it made me laugh when I saw it.

That said, if Dawson's gonna' rematch, I'd rather seem him give Glenco another chance as theirs was a much closer bout.

Veit had won the Interim WBO SMW title when Calzaghe was injured, Joe had to give him the rematch to keep his belt and run of consecutive defenses going.

Running from who? Who elese could he fight? I mean yea I think Glen Johnson beat him and we should see a rematch of that. But theres probably still more money in a shitty Tarver rematch, and Tarver had a rematch clause in the first. How is he running, when Joe is not interested in fighting him.

If anything this article should be about how Dawsons avoiding Johnson. We all know Calzaghe is the reason the Dawson/Calzaghe fight isnt materializing.

JC already had about 15 succesful defenses of his belt and seemed at the time to be going for B-Hops place on the list of most succesful title defences. He had more to lose if he never took that fight.

    Is that a fact?:huh

So if Clazaghe signed to fight Chad on the day after he whooped Jones would a rematch clause with Tarver no longer exist...?!

Joe said who is Dawson, and righfully so, in 2 years he has fought Kessler, Hopkins and Jones, he has a right to say 'who the **** is Chad Dawson'! But as far as I can see he is keeping his options open until after the holidays and that is coming from the horses mouth.

You're clearly not English, you live in one of the immigration hot spots of England, and your humour isn't very off the cuff, therefore, most likely a migrant worker.
