Dawson should stop ducking Diaconu, prove his shaky chin and act like a man!

I don't want Diaconu to be a paper Champ. At least Bute took the belt from a dangerous Top 10 puncher, having beaten awkward top 10 Bika.

Johnson is the wrong style for him; his defence is too good, his chin too strong, his pressure too overwhelming given Diaconu's poor stamina...I cannot see Diaconu beating Johnson. Might not get stopped, though...

Do you think Johnson as a better chin than Henry who took some heavy clean shots and survived ????

I don't think Johnson has a worse chin, but I think he has much better defence than Henry. He is also more experienced and crafty in the ring. Tougher fight than Henry, for sure.

To me, it all depends on how hard Diaconu trains to improve his stamina, a good defense will only make for a longer fight. But at 39, Johnson can't take the punishment of 12 rounds of solid and steady Shark.

Can Diaconu take 12 rounds of Johnson? He doesn't even have the speed or stamina to run away or box around, like Dawson.

It's hard to day that Dawson ducked Diaconu three times when the fight was scheduled and Diaconu pulled out with an injury. I'll buy that he ducked for the Johnson fight, but it's not much of a duck when you avoid one fighter to fight and even better and more dangerous fighter. It's not like he ducked out to fight Tito or something.

How many times has Johnson been down in his career? It's damn foolish to believe that Henry's chinis anywhere near Johnson's based on one fight.

I thought Diaconu pulled out the fight because of injury?

this guy is nothing ... Dawson will smash him ... its just a mandatory defense ... Dawson just been through a very tough fight with the rugged Glenn Johnson ... i'm sure that Dawson would be able to stand up to anything.

I don't think that Dawson's chin is all that shaky ... he was still standing after the bell sounded to end the 12th and there were no official knockdowns.

It was just a learning experience for Dawson and for that its going to make him much better against top opposition.

Henry's chin is very good indeed. Of course, Johnson's chin is iron.:good

By not fighting Diaconu, not only was he ducking him. He was also not allowing him to have a crack at the belt, which he had the right to, as mandatory challenger. What is worse is that Dawson tried to have Diaconu's mandatory status revoked indefinitely. In other words, not only did he not ever want to have to fight him, or let Diaconu fight for the title, but he also wanted Diaconu never to have a shot at the WBC belt! :verysad :-( :verysad :-( :verysad

Bute took the belt from Berrio, not Bika

Both looked bad their last fight.
So --- this should be a good fight.
    Contrasting styles.
    Both have alot to prove.
Both will have to step it up a whole lot to be successful
    Should be a good fight.
