Dawson should stop ducking Diaconu, prove his shaky chin and act like a man!

I don't know if Tarver would do it more convincingly though.

Age might be a factory there.

Dawson's youth might make it easier to deal with 12 rounds of pressure than Tarver could.

Doesn't matter much though because both win against AD.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that Dawson beats Diaconu. The fight with Henry was no aberration. Diaconu's been overhyped and I fell for it. I wanna see Dawson beat him good.

IMO Dawson will drop his belt and fight Tarver for the IBF title, which means Diaconu will fight Johnson. Diaconu is an underrated fighter, his style is somewhat awkward and confusing. For a guy who is known as a puncher, he can box really well. The problem with his style that he leaves himself open being stationary like that. In his fight against Henry, particularly round 9, Henry was able to land some very hard shots in the inside and Diaconu could'nt counter back. I guess he chose to box that way so he can deal with pure boxers, it would be interesting to see how Dawson or Tarver deals with Diaconu, because Henry couldn't win rounds fighting Diaconu on the outside.

If Diaconu were to fight Johnson, he would have a lot of trouble because Johnson has a good chin and likes fight in the inside. Johnson is very skilled and can slip and block punches, which he will need to do against Diaconu. I see a Dawson-Tarver matchup (with Dawson winning) and a Diaconu-Johnson matchup, (with Johnson winning) which will setup a rematch between the two next year.

When he loses, which will be soon, you'll all act like you never liked him.

I don't watch any of the oldies you listed on your thread. They can have big money because they are stars. I prefer to watch boxers. People who are good right now, not people who were good 6 years ago and still surfing on their ancient victories. Glad for you if names excite you. I a boxing fan, not a wrestling fan. Think about it, the return of Rick Flair, Hulk Hogan. Same thing as Jones, Holyfield, etc. It's showbusiness, not boxing. As for Tarver, watch his fight again Hopkins again, if you think this guy is still a champion, you're sick.

 

granted i've only seen his most recent fight, but there was nothing in it to suggest that diaconu is anywhere near the same class as chad dawson...

 

Fists against chin. I think the only chance for Diaconu is to knock Dawson down. If not, he's in big trouble.
